If you list down the names of successful people and those who have failed, you will be surprised to know that each group shares common traits. Let us identify each of the group's similarities and differences and find out which group you belong.
People whose pursuit is success have certain philosophies that make them see opportunities and potential growth in challenges. They have confidence in their abilities and creativity, and focus on rewards. They have resolute focus on what they want. Furthermore, they are amenable to take educated risks which means conducting due diligence and making decisions based on solid information and facts. And they always know their target and understand exactly when to aim and shoot.
Meanwhile, individuals who belong in the other group only see obstacles and potential loss when faced with problems. They are unwilling to take risks for fear of failure. They constantly focus on what they do not want. They may claim that they are preparing for an opportunity, but they usually adopt a torpid behaviour. They hem and haw for weeks or even years until the opportunity disappears, and they tend to arrive at decisions without knowing the risks involved. They have a target, but they do not know where to aim. Thus, success is aloof from them.
Success will not come your way unless you take action. Remember, action always beats inaction. As they say, no risk, no reward. Get into the corridor of success by taking steps to reach your goals. You will never know what will open up for you.
Individuals aiming for success trust that once they get into the game, they can make intelligent decisions, make corrections and adjust their sails on the way. They also willingly embrace innovation and change.
Which pithy philosophy and path you want to follow is entirely up to you. You always have a choice.
