If I ask you to rate your capabilities in a scale of one to 10, with 10 being the highest, where do you stand? If you identify your capabilities at level five and your life challenges at level seven, how would you feel? Surely, you will feel inept because the challenges seem larger than what you can handle. But if you continuously focus on personal development, your skills will be improved to a level of nine or ten. You will then feel more empowered to manage all challenges well.
Whether you are rich or poor, successful or not, problems and issues exist. But the nature of such will be different for each person. For example, exams are a common fixture in all school levels, only the nature and their level of difficulty are different. Such is true with life. The only thing that is different is the size of your responsibilities and how you handle them. As they say, the size of the challenge does not matter; what matters is your size in comparison to those challenges.
Successful people are ingeniously solution oriented. They continuously work on themselves to hone their skills, and attain more knowledge and creativity to handle bigger challenges. Effective employees are those which have better problem-solving abilities. They attain bigger roles and responsibilities, and bigger projects to manage. And that is what is reflected in their job titles and pay cheques.
All of us are self-made, but only the successful ones admit this fact. If you attain the art of becoming larger than your challenges and profession, who else can stop you from achieving success? No one. You become unstoppable and you will have more choices. And with all the choices, you will have more power, happiness and self-fulfillment.
Therefore, always try to carry an indomitable spirit, pursue continuous growth and strive to be larger than all your existing challenges.
