It is always a nice experience to interact with happy people. Happiness is contagious and when we surround ourselves with happy people, we also develop a happy frame of mind. 

Research shows that happy employees are more productive. This is primarily on account of the fact that when a person is happy, he does not find his official responsibilities to be a chore. 

A happy frame of mind makes an employee work harder. This, in turn, enhances productivity. When productivity rises, the employee gets recognized, leading to better satisfaction. 

Happiness is a state of mind and when a person is happy, he spots more opportunities. A happy employee is good at solving problems compared to a grouchy employee. Employees with a negative mindset are pessimistic and will only look at problems without trying to find a way out. 

In organizations where teamwork is critical, it is important to ensure that the team members share a happy disposition. We often find that happy employees are fully charged and ready to take up responsibilities. Their energy level is also quite high. This makes it easier for them to complete tasks much before the allotted time. 

Motivation is one key factor that leads to enhanced productivity. When an employee is happy, he is self-motivated to perform better. We can make an assumption that happy people are generally in good health. From an organizational point of view, this means that a happy employee makes sure that he attends work without taking time off on account of illness.
