Job DescriptionAffiliate managers are responsible for the management of online affiliate programs. These managers help find new accounts, keep current accounts active through customer service "best practices" and develop new affiliate programs with access to needed marketing tools for their customer base. While the responsibilities of an affiliate manager will vary slightly based on the company he works for, the basic principles behind requirements remain unchanged. Affiliate managers work to find new websites, email marketing firms and other online resources that are willing to feature the products they are attempting to sell. Affiliate managers work with companies to set acceptable cost per sale numbers to ensure both companies operate at acceptable levels. For example, an affiliate manager may offer 3 percent of a sale to a small customer and 5 percent to a larger firm. Minimum work Experience2-5 yr/sRoles and Responsibilities This involves actively pitching to brands/agencies and presenting them with creative brand solutions.Needs to have and be able to drive lots of contacts in the industry.Maintaining on-going communication campaigns.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
