Use Business Analysis tools and techniques to capture and clearly articulate the as-is business processes, identify problems and inefficiencies and define business requirements for process improvementsServe as a liaison with managers of line functions to identify, define and accurately document business requirements following CS best practiceThe role provides the candidate with an opportunityTo understand the liquidity related accounting and reporting systems and processes in a leading investment bankTo get global exposure through working on key initiatives with teams around the globe (Singapore - London - New York)Experience in stakeholder management and a key liaison role between Finance line and IT in deploying and building solutions to time sensitive CFO initiativesLong term growth path in Change ManagementTo experience a truly multicultural team environment (a highly diverse Finance Change team of ~90) Manage requirements and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that requirements are delivered as specified, and change impact assessments can be madeShould transform business requirements into functional and technical specificationsCommunicates clearly with all stakeholders and demonstrates an understanding of business processes and related issues. Develops multiple solutions options and can convey the merits and issues of each to ensure clear understanding of impact across the organizationAssist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for integration, functional, performance and user acceptance testingIdentify, manage and escalate where appropriate project risks and issues associated to requirements gathering, analysis and designDesign training and support documentation for new projectsEnsure compliance with established guidelines for accurate and timely project delivery milestonesWork closely with the liquidity reporting teams and related Finance Change and IT teams, and be involved in the execution of various initiatives planned as part of the Book of WorkDomain knowledge/ experience of product control or financial accounting within investment banking that is, should have been associated with the finance division of an investment bank in some capacity. Any exposure to liquidity reporting would be idealChange experience in above is preferred, however BAU/ line experience with change exposure is also fineIf with change experience, it should as a Business Analyst in an SDLC environment (that is, should have acted as a bridge between Finance users and IT in a systems project), and not as a project manager or in a non-SDLC oriented change projectAs a business analyst or as an end user, should have been involved in functional testing and should be willing to be involved in functional testing in this role as wellAny exposure to writing technical specifications would be of good advantageA decent understanding of the various investment bank trading products (equities, fixed income, repos, FX, OTC and exchange traded derivatives, loans, money markets etc.) and the accounting related to these products is neededNeed to have good technical capabilities, that is ability to understand data flows, table structures, SQLs and algorithms
