Work involves creative application of a focused range of technical and/or management principles.General Recognized as an expert in own function Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives Primarily domestic scope/accountability; may include some international scope/accountability Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirementPrimary Responsibilities Establishes the design principles, practices, guidelines and procedures for part of a major XIM organization or part of an XIM platform. Inspects for adherence to same. Leads and is accountable for, or is a major contributor to the successful technical delivery of systems and enhancements that balance feature/functionality, development cost, schedule, risk, supportability, operations and total cost of ownership Serves as the subject matter expert and decision maker for technical decisions impacting the system Leads and/or participates in technical reviews with technical delivery teams. Assesses and manages technical risk; reviews risk mitigations alternatives and selects the appropriate alternative. Escalates significant risks and issues to the program team and leadership. Manages, or is part of the team that manages the technical relationship with internal and external parties delivering IT products and services that are part of the system Leads, prioritizes and coordinates the technical activities of one or more technical delivery teams. Approves technical deliverables. Contributes to the program/project plan preparation and status configuration Solid experience in Data Modeling concepts and tools.Applied knowledge of Salesforce and the Sales, Services and Marketing functions.In this capacity, the candidate will be an expert application development, integration and extension, features, designing solutions, using API, APEX, Visualforce, applications from the AppExchange and other tools that extend the product.Candidate should provide technical guidance to the development applications to support business and product strategies.He/She must be able to lead a technical requirements gathering session, oversee and approve creation and maintenance of application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts and manage the integration process.The candidate will look for synergies between the various SaaS product offerings in terms of application and infrastructure and will offer guidance on best practices and efficiencies in utilization. Candidate BackgroundMinimum Extensive relevant experience in developing, deploying and operating major IT systemsMinimum Management and leadership skills appropriate for scope of responsibility.Minimum Understands, explains and presents complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences in a persuasive and convincing manner.Minimum Is able to understand and communicate the potential impact of current and some emerging technologies on organizations and individuals and can analyze the risks of using or not using such technologies.Minimum Has a broad and deep knowledge coupled with equivalent knowledge of the activities of those businesses and other organizations that use and exploit information systems.Minimum Takes initiative to keep own and skills up to date and to maintain awareness of and, in own area(s) of expertise.Minimum Moderate project management and team leadership experienceMinimum Broad and in-depth technical knowledge and understanding of major technology areas, platforms, development processes and system lifecycles.
