The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for ensuring finished good inventory is available to meet the customer requests. This is done by ensuring material is ordered, received, replenished , and kept at appropriate levels in our Distribution Centers. The Supply Chain Specialist will be working with vendors of finished goods from sister facilities, as well as vendors in North America and Asia. They will interface with all facets of the organization including distribution, manufacturing, customer service, demand planning, marketing and engineeringExecuting replenishment strategy and planning levels to achieve target in-stock levels and planned inventory turns for specific Distribution CentersMonitor inventory levels and manage flow of materials to meet service and inventory goals i.e., expedites, cancelations, etc.Advise internal customers of any issues with orders and/or pertinent shipping informationDevelop tactical plans to ensure proper deployment of stock in the distribution networkMaintain accurate master data profile in ERP systemAnalyze results of key metrics and identify root cause of performance issues.Create and distribute monthly production forecast to purchase finished goods suppliers.Coordinate the synchronization of replenishment orders within plant production capacities.Work with production control personnel and division logistics planners to minimize overall supply chain costs and maximize supply chain efficienciesProvide general support and guidance to other planners4 to 5 years experience in Materials, Supply Chain, and/or Sales & Operations planningExcellent English communication skills both orally and writtenAdvanced skill level in MS Office Excel, word and Power Point.MBA or Masters Degree in Operations / Materials Management, Industrial Engineering, or Supply ChainAPICS CPIM certification or actively working towards the certificationDirect production, inventory management and material planning/scheduling experienceFirm understanding of the SIOP process steps Forecast, Demand, Supply, Consensus, ExecutivePractical understanding of Materials Management including forecasting, scheduling, capacity analysis and inventory management.Ability to follow process documentation in detail and make judgments on actions based on outlined parametersStrong communication and presentation skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience and knowledge of ERP MRP systems (preferably SAP).Experience in MRP, SIOP, and capacity planning tools.Ability to work effectively with teamsAdvanced knowledge of materials planning, including business experience desirableKnowledge of data management in Microsoft Excel and AccessGood communication skills to work with teams remotelyQuick response to deadlines An individual with a strong sense of urgencyAn individual with a strong customer focus
