Overall purpose of roleThe individual in this role will provide PMO analyst support within the IB Reference Data Department. The mandate of the PMO is to ensure that effective and efficient program controls are in place for monitoring and controlling the execution of the IB Reference Data Portfolio of change. The person in this role will support the development and implementation of status reporting, RAID management, and other aspects of monitoring and control. They will ensure that the Barclays firm-wide Project framework is implemented effectively, embeds effective controls and traceability and will assist the PMO Leader in preparing for governance forums, responding to ad-hoc information requests and performing periodic deep dives on project plans, risks and issues across the Portfolio of Change.Support in the documentation and communication of the PMO frameworkLiaise with project managers to ensure they adopt group standards and control support meetings with project managers to develop, communicate and implement project planning and assurance processesAct as point of contact for queries on PMO processes and activitiesReview weekly RAID submission from Project Managers for quality and sense checkReview monthly financial information and produce finance variance reportsResponsible for recording change management and ensuring adherence to processesResponsible for management of entire programme plan and monitoring dependencies between Workstream and other entities and programmes.Responsible for producing adhoc information as requested by PMO leaderResponsible for ensuring sharepoint including all programme collateral is populated and upto dateResponsible for reporting including consolidating all Workstream reports.The successful candidate will need to be resourceful with excellent influencing skills and strong leadership skills.Key Accountabilities and Skills requiredStatus ReportingProduce consolidated weekly reportingSetting the standards, process and timetable for regular status reportingReviewing and challenging reports provided for adherence to standards, completeness and reasonablenessGovernance / TransparencySupport and co-ordinate governance structure, assisting the Project Manager in the correct governance set up to adhere to group-wide standardsEnsuring all weekly and monthly governance materials are prepared to a high standard on a timely basisRAIDSProduce consolidated RAID reportsSetting the standards, process and timetable for regular RAID reportingReviewing and challenging RAIDs provided for adherence to standards, completeness and reasonablenessFinancial ManagementWork with Business Management to produce monthly project finance reportsSetting the standards, process and timetable for regular finance reportingReviewing and challenging finance information provided for adherence to standards, completeness and reasonablenessPlanningCollaborate with the project managers to ensure that project plans are effectively controlled in accordance with the group wide Change standardsCreate and manage updates to IB Reference Data wide Delivery PlanChange standardsEnsure Projects are aware of SDLC / BACL non-compliance and monitor until remediatedRisk and Control Objective Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards.Requirements for Analyst PMO, IB Reference DataAble to work with, influence and present to project managersExperience of working in a PMO capacity in banking or financial organisationKnowledge of project management methodologies (including Agile)Good understanding of End2End Control Processes, strong systems knowledge and interface controls.Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Excellent PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, MS Project and Visio skills.Good working knowledge/experience of PPM tools (preferably Navigator/Jira)It is essential that the candidate has a proactive flexible and a hands on approach to work.
