We are looking for Production Support Engineer to manage service requests & Incidents of Service-Now, Jira, Git, and SVN tools. This role will be responsible for day to day interaction between the business teams, Site Operations, Production Support, Application development & Infrastructure teams for coordinating resolution to incidents, service requests, small enhancement request and application/systems fixes to resolve production issues. This role is also responsible for technical oversight of the day to day operations of the BSM support team.PRIMARY SKILL LINUX, ITIL, SVN, GIT, JIRACoordinates with users and work on assigned ticketsRespond to requests and inquiries from clients within the pre-determined timeframe of our Service Level Agreement.Investigate and resolve problems related to installation and operation of softwareDocument and track case histories, issues and actionable steps takenMonitoring and Management of JVM servers and other servicesShould able to create automation scripts using bash shell script and rational Performance TesterThe person in this role must be flexible and provide technical support and expertise on an as-needed basis wherever management believe that a technical gap may existWork on build and deployment activitiesTroubleshoots application errors and provides supportMust be able to create and migrate SVN to GIT repositoryShould have knowledge of Service Now toolEDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTSHe/She should have at least 3-5 years of experience in application supportGood Experience in handling ticketing tool Service-Now and JIRA.Should have knowledge of Git and SVN versioning tool.Very good experience with Incident management, Problem management, Change management and Service requests (Preferred ITIL v3 Foundation)Experience with & understanding of Java/J2EE based web applications running on application servers such as Weblogic/JBoss/Websphere/TomcatExperience in system administration on operating system such as Windows2008/XP, Linux/Unix 4yrsGood Understanding of Internet Concepts( for example Firewalls, Web browsers, TCP/IP,SSL,HTTP and so on)Good Understanding of Bug Tracking System such as JIRAExperience of leading 24/7 application support and maintenance production support activitiesAdvance knowledge of bash shell scripting and Linux Administration.Should have ITILV3 foundation certifiedKnowledge of Rational Performance Tester and Rational Functional Tester will be added advantageOTHER SKILLSMust be a motivated and focused individualMust have excellent organizational and communications skillsAbility to operate in an on-call support environment.
Degree: MCA/ PGDCA | ME/ M.Tech./ MS (Engg/ Sciences)
