To assist the Outlet Manager in managing the assigned outlet as a successful independent profit centre, in line with the outlets operating concept and Hyatt International standards, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget, helping to ensure the financial success of the outlet.Conducts regular departmental communications briefing and meetings in the absence of the Outlet Manager.Personally and frequently verifies that guests in the Outlet are receiving the best possible service.Assists to improve productivity levels and prudently manage utility/payroll costs within acceptable guidelines ensuring optimum deployment and energy efficiency of all equipment.Assists to achieve the monthly and annual personal target and the outlet s revenue.Assists in the inventory management and ongoing maintenance of hotel operating equipment and other assets.Advises the Outlet Manager of any Marketing and Public Relations opportunities to increase awareness and ultimately business.Assists to monitor service and food and beverage standards in the Outlet to take corrective actions where necessary. o Assist to maximise the effectiveness of employees by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring. o Assists to plan and implement effective training programmes for employees in coordination with the Training Manager and Departmental Trainers.QUALIFICATIONSTechnical Skills and ExperienceHolds a diploma/degree in Hospitality Management specialising in Food and Beverage ManagementExcellent customer service and Interpersonal SkillsFamiliar with wine styles and grape varieties and other beverage itemsWell developed Computer Skills particularly in the use of MS Office and emailGood trainer, able to facilitate at all levelsComprehensive knowledge of business needs and productivity requirementsMinimum 2 years work experience as Assistant Manager in a hotel or large restaurant with good standardsPreferable prerequisite knowledge of the Travel/Hotel industry
