The typical work profile at this level would includeSupport the U.S. BD team on all necessary initiatives, in particular, to create thoughtful and targeted collateral for meetings with prospective clientsConduct research to comprehensively analyze and understand different teams/groups at each prospect to create a tailored message instead of a generic deckCompile and maintain a central repository for all such research aboveAssist with other BD initiatives as neededSignificant direct senior management exposure extensive real-world learning via osmosisA successful candidate will very quickly have enough flexibility and responsibility to grow above and beyond the norm for a typical AssociateWill liaise with other members of the BD team as necessary and will report to CEO and MDRequired BackgroundMinimum 2-3 years of total work experienceExcellent PPT skills are essential - must be able to create decks that are visually appealing and contain insightful contentIdea generation and creativity ability to independently conceptualize and craft powerful slidesExcellent understanding ofhow our hedge fund, private equity and investment banking clients work as well as knowledge of related work streamsPre-sales experience will be helpfulComplete accountability and a sense of ownership are criticalSelf-starter ability to seize the initiative and get the ball moving versus waiting for instructionsAbility to produce high quality work under tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills and accessibility over-communication is better than underAbility to manage expectations of senior management a thick skin is preferredCompensation Commensurate with experience and skillset
