The position is within the Emerging Markets team and forms part of the broader DB Finance Function. The Finance division, within Deutsche Bank, partners with the business and other stakeholders to monitor performance, manage costs and deliver the strategic agenda.This requires Finance to spend increased time on Planning and analysis, educating stakeholders on cost reduction, financial risk management, strategic planning and credit decisions. These evolving expectations, along with changes in the regulatory landscape, present new opportunities and challenges to the Finance organisation.In order to meet these challenges, the structure of Finance in Deutsche Bank has developed with the creation of the Finance Director / Finance Manager, Analytics, COO and Specialist roles.Within the Analytics framework, FI DB Centre is organized into Functional and Product focused teams covering Business Performance Reporting & Review Revenue, Cost and Balance Sheet for Executive Committee members and other key stakeholders. Strategic Planning - Development of analytical capabilities with particular focus on performance measurement & planning exercises including the business portfolio review & annual Plan Management information - Assist in the design, build-out and continuing development of regular analysis for Finance and Business Management CB&S P&L Analysis - Performance review at CB&S levelAs an Associate in the EM team, the individual and team have a critical role in providing analysis across all areas of the business including revenues, costs and financial resources.As a member of the EM analytics team you will be expected to contribute towards the following outputs/initiatives Performance analysis of the business against key targets and benchmarks Understanding market drivers affecting the underlying business Providing financial input and context into group and senior management Providing revenue commentary in consultation with FDs and traders Responsibilities will also encompass other ad-hoc project related analysis work Develop the skills, knowledge and process to deliver in a timely fashion Understand and deliver an agreed book of work Continuously develop and apply technical knowledge on Balance-sheet, RWA and regulatory developments as applicable Understand regional nuances in order to provide value-added support to the region Work with other members across the team to understand different businessesThe team enjoys a close working relationship with the desk and interacts with numerous support functions within the bank which include Trading,COO, Group Finance, Market Risk Management and Global Business Services (Operations, Trade Management, PSCs)Desired Candidate ProfileEssential Skills Dynamic individual who is able to use their own initiativeAbility to deal with people at all levels and to build strong relationships globally Able to work under pressure and to deadlinesAbility to adopt a pro-active attitude Ability to present clear written analysisStrong analytical and excellent communication skills Questioning attitude and willingness to learn quickly about the business is critical for this roleFlexible to working environment Good awareness of requirements of sound internal control frameworkDrive to own and improve processes leading to enhancement of existing processes
