Deploy adaptive agile governance and practices that improve the way in which development works, deliver projects with higher quality, ensure projects are managed effectively and provide a higher level of visibility and collaboration across the organization.Key RelationshipsReports to Sr. Project Manager, Sr. Manager PMO, Program Manager, DirectorDirect reports NoneInternal Interfaces Agile teams, Product Management, Strategic Program Office, Development Managers, QA Managers, Configuration teamExternal interfaces Customer, Development Partners, Technical PartnersAccountabilitiesHigh-levelCommunicate and coordinate with other management, developers, product managers and technical support specialistsMust be a "team-player" with the ability to work within a collaborative environmentMust be able to work with multiple agile teams.Supports Team building and Team development by utilizing the abilities and skills of individuals, and fostering a Feedback cultureMust be able to work with geographically distributed teamsMust have expertise on scrum and knowledge of other agile methodologies like XP, Kanban etc.Support the Agile processOrganize and facilitate backlog planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, iteration and release planning, demos and other Agile-related meetingsTrack and communicate team velocity, iteration/release progress, impedimentsMaintain process documentation as neededEnsure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definitionFamiliarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practicesSupport the Product OwnerAssist as needed with product backlog refinementsCoach Product Owners in best practice of writing user stories and epicsAssist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating informationFacilitate prioritization and resolution of defects/bugsSupport the Product TeamAssist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definitionParticipate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practicesIdentify and remove impediments, prevent distractionsFacilitate discussion and conflict resolutionHelp the team to manage capacity between development and maintenance.Empower the team to self-organizeRequired Skills & ExperienceCandidate will possess the following key competenciesS. in engineering, computer science, MBA or equivalent experienceThree plus years project management experience in software developmentMust have Certified Scrum Master (CSM) with 1+ years of Scrum Master experienceExpertise on scrum and knowledge of other agile methodologies such as XP, Kanban etc.Knowledge of agile tools like TFS, Rally, version one, Jira etc.Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality typesThorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and proceduresThorough understanding of the software development lifecycleMust be 'self-motivated' as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problemsAbility to deal with multiple projects and deadlinesStrong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detailMust be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered.Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approachesPMP certification a plusQualificationsAcademic and professional qualificationsSuccessful completion of Bachelor's degree or relevant business / information technology experiencePMP Certification preferredExperienceMinimum 1-3 years relevant project management and/or management experience, plus at least 3 years relevant business experienceDemonstrable project management skills, including influencing, communications and tracking skills, and planning and organizationSolid knowledge of project management methodologies, tools & techniquesStrong ability to collaborate with individual contributors to define business process issues, analyze operational efficiencies, implement creative solutions, and measure delivery results.
