The Planning Manager supervises and participates in advanced, highly-complex professional planning activities. Manage and Assist to monitor all projects as per project schedules. Manage all work flow for projects and maintain control on same. Must be a natural multitasker, and juggle schedules as per the changing project goals Facilitate and provide data to prepare all project forecast for implementation for all deliverables on or before Schedule. Collaborate with all stakeholders to perform various strategies and coordinate with program manager to monitor all project activities and resolve all issues. Prepare reports for all planning activity metrics and analyze all results to recommend required improvements in performance and collaborate with site managers to forecast all required strategies. Participate in all evaluation meetings on daily, weekly and monthly basis. Plan progress levels and locations and execute all forecasting and planning programs. Maintain optimal level of performance within required timelines and ensure compliance to all standard projects. Prepare efficient training programs for all planning processes and project. Train all subordinates of all planning team in various system. Process requirement and analyze all working of project team. Review and understand all relevant documents and conditions pertaining to the project. Attend the formal handover from Proposals and Estimating at the start of the project in accordance with Procedures. Establish, define and identify the level of resources required for each project. Develop in conjunction with the Project Manager and Client a suitable Work Breakdown Structure for the project. Establish and agree the level and frequency of reporting required by the project. Review overall project status with the Project Control team and Project Management and recommend corrective action where necessary. Ensure that all planning and document control reports are prepared and issued in accordance with the Project Coordination Procedure. Supervise the activities of Netcon both in their productivity and the technical adequacy of their output. Liaise with other Departments at all meetings relevant to project operations and ensure that the time and cost plans are updated to reflect latest information. Being able to think critically and using good judgment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and define project plan, goals and objectives.Monitor and analyze project effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative tools.Recommend and implement modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.Plan, coordinate and monitor activities of assigned projects to develop and implement procedures, processes and systems.Educate employees in methods to ensure project continuity and completeness.Develop detailed task lists and work effort assessment.Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members.Oversee schedules and risk management plans and provide serious deviations warnings hindering project results.Identify changes in work scope in the project plan.Ensure to take appropriate planning measures with all clients to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities, proposals, contracts and budgets.Ensure to convey required project data and information to project teams.Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports for management.Evaluate and analyze with team risks and issues compromising project results and develop plans to mitigate them.Lead development of baseline schedule and support Project Manager (PM) in Integrated Baseline Review (IBR).Gather actual data, update project schedule and develop reliable schedule forecast with support from project team.Additional SkillsExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft office programmers, document management systems and approved procedures.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Personal AttributesWilling and able to bear high levels of responsibility and accountability.Able to evaluate information quickly, identify key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience, and common sense.Able to work independently and prioritize own work load.Willing to work for the best interests of the business.Maintain the highest standard of personal conduct in performing all duties.Encourage a positive working environment.Willing and able to deal with problem situationsCommunicates honestly, openly, and consistently.Able to build a working relationship with customers and internal personnel based on respect and good rapport.Typical KnowledgeThorough knowledge of project planning and development and policies and procedures.Research methods and statistical principles related to urban growth and development.Methods and techniques of effective technical report preparation and presentation.Pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations including recent changes.Principles and practices of supervision, training and personnel management.Budgeting procedures and techniques.Recent developments, current literature and sources of information related to municipal planning and administration.Knowledge of local government procedures and practices.Citizen involvement techniques and processesKnowledge of computer hardware and software programs, which may include Microsoft Office, Internet applications, econometric or transportation modeling, database management, or GIS.Typical SkillsMust be innovative, detail-oriented, experienced in highly complex & visible projects.Capable of managing multiple, high-priority assignments.Strong interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships at various levels and to resolve complaints.Strong analytical skills to interpret research data for reports and apply mathematic techniques in practical situations.Reading comprehension to understand technical and legal materials.Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously.Ability to provide effective supervision and staff management.Ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines.
