Selling the companys products to major integrated steel mills and equipment manufacturers for steel mills in India such as SAIL,TATA,JSPL,JSW,NMDC,ISPAT,UTTAM,ESSAR etc.Following the seven stage industrial selling process and making relationship in each stage of the value chain.Major focus will be on sales penetration and expansion strategies and cross selling opportunities. The Selected person will have full P& L responsibility for the total department and will be working with (3) persons in the internal sales and (5)Sales representatives based Major Steel plant locations in India.Responsible for total sales of companies product through company s sales persons.Guiding, Coaching and motivating the sales teamReported by 3 internal sales engineers & 5 External sales persons.Developing and maintaining relationship with Key users and potential customers.Updating key industry developments to the management.Organising and Conducting quarterly sale meets & training programmes for the salespeople.Sales planning, reporting and budgeting on a monthly basis.Forecast & demand management for products.Identifying potential OEMs for selling companies products, making cold calls and makingthe initial connect with the customers.To assure complete customer satisfaction throughout the stages of the sales process.Making follow-ups, ensuring preparation of on time offers, demonstration of products forcustomer applications and order closing.Regular customer interactions by phone, E-mail and visits.Lead, visit and cost management for the department.Keeping track of new developments in markets and selling opportunities.Tracking competitor s activity and countering with in house activity.Following up with user/end customers for their feedback on the quotes and productsMaking contact in purchase, electrical, design and purchasing department at potentialcustomer sites.To assure annual growth rate of 20% in sales YOY basis.Participating and organising technical seminars, exhibitions and user interaction.On time MIS reports such as weekly plans, monthly sales reports, stock projections andannual sales budgets.Ensuring proper follow ups in sales department.Organisation and participation in events/seminars/exhibitions/training programmesKRA's1. Individual visit per week in home market visits in Bellary & Hospet.2. Visits with external sales persons-Visit in O/S- Minimum 2 steel plant per month.3. Direct handling of Steel mill manufacturers spread across India.4. Achieving yearly sales objectives.5. New customer additions and sales expansion with existing customers.6. Sales budget for the department.7. Leading the team from front/leading by doing.8. Creating cross selling opportunities for other departments.Soft Skills Hard working/Smart thinking. Ownership of the sales process. Go-getter. Service mentality. Perseverance. Result oriented. Working knowledge in MS-Excel, power point & ERP systems is a must. Excellent communication skills- both written and oral (Hindi, English & one regional language) in addition to working knowledge of Kannada
Degree: MBA/ PGDM

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
