Key specific accountabilities Responsible for timely and accurate closure of financial books Production of the local and SBU monthly reporting including provision of supporting analysis and insight into key performance drivers, business risks and opportunities and decision support to senior management. Preparation of variance analysis; ensuring a sufficient level of understanding of the key issues driving financial performance Own and be responsible for queries raised on all output/deliverables Supporting ad-hoc requests ensuring that we meet high standards to provide a timely response to all queries Ensure strong processes are in place with strong control environment, adhered timeline in order to deliver accurate information in a timely manner and to the highest standards, allowing time for review by line manager and finance management Manage the preparation of regulatory reporting ensuring reports are accurate and delivered on a timely basis. Provide attestation support and preparation. Development of internal reporting suite and MI. Stakeholder management and leadership Active participation in team meetings as part of each Business Units virtual team Active part of the wider Chennai AVP Community Build an open professional relationship with other finance teams To be flexible, dynamic and adaptive to relatively frequent changes in reporting requirements and organisational structures. Decision making and problem solving Lead production of analytics and deep drill decks as and when topical issues arise to further business understanding and support decision-making Deliver high quality, performance insights to support informed and effective decision making Respond to ad-hoc requests for performance data from all Finance teams. Ensure the information provided is robust, understood and has been properly set in context and explained. Drive improvement in team processes e.g automation of manual processes, revision of systems and technical enhancements where appropriate Identification and delivery of standardisation across SBU s wherever possible Risk and Control All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Your Skills and Qualifications will include Competencies 1.
