Job Details

Assist cost transformation project team in reviewing, analysing and identifying cost operational and data flow issues resulting in inappropriate accounting / reporting.Liaise and partner with functional / technical / financial control teams to fix the inherent data quality issues with improved accuracy of cost reporting.Support in the delivery of project progress updates and provides insightful analysisas part of a monthly deck, extracts to be included in the monthly Cost Transformation working group meetings.Assist in delivery of ad hoc analytics as required, deep-dives on key cost elements for example Account line analysis for Cost Board etc.Stakeholder management and leadership Partner with cost transformation lead and act as a Finance interface between FBPs, Financial Control, technology teams to ensure proper coordination and communication on the project milestones and keeping all informed on the change implementation plans.Acts as a role model, visibly and consistently behaving in ways that reinforce culture Decision making and problem solvingAssist in delivering meaningful presentation of output for review with key stakeholdersWorking with Cost Transformation working group to ensure programme governance is followed, any challenges/timeline constraints are escalated quickly Risk and Control All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Your Skills and Qualifications will includeAdvanced ExcelCommunication of financial information and insight to a very senior audienceExcellent relationship management skillsGood understanding of cost systems data flow and CM architecture, Chart of accounts and cost data flow.Strong analytical abilities. Analytical experience in banking/insurance or in an industry that requires complex analysisAbility to operate in a demanding and dynamic team environmentQualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA,MBA) or similar qualification or degreeCost Management experience desirable.Strong on control awareness. A confident and articulate self-starter with the ability to cope with the demands of working to tight deadlines.Keen analytical skills and the ability to challenge current processes and develop effective alternate solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication Flexible and proactive work style with proven ability to meet tight timelinesAbility to plan, manage, prioritise and execute detailed tasks using own initiativeAbility to assimilate information quickly and make informed decisions
