Responsible to conduct independent risk based review of Appraisal & Assessment of various Credit facilities sanctioned to Corporate/SME loans. Detect gaps being observed at pre-sanction stages. Conduct risk based audit of borrower accounts post sanction with a specific focus on documentation, follow up & monitoring including EWS.JOB POSITIONSenior Manager/Assistant Vice President reporting to Head Credit Audit.KEY PERFORMANCE AREA (KPAS)Conduct independent review of pre-sanction process, involved in sanction of Credit facility in lines with prudent credit practices.Participating in all aspects of credit audit activities including credit risk assessment, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation.Review risk rating of borrower Ensure that the credit proposal abides to Banks extant guidelines, Credit Policy & Regulatory guidelinesReport drafting with risk based approach, follow up and verification of issue closure.Verify compliance as per the terms of sanctionDetect Early Warning Signals.Evaluating, testing and reporting on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controlsMonitoring and analyzing key performance indicators to identify trends & deviations from standard industry benchmarks.Staying abreast of local regulations and responding to regulators inquiry on a timely basis.Partnering with legal, compliance, risk management and other control groups.Perform and coordinate Credit Risk framework components which includeso Risk and due-diligence reviews o Credit Risk Reporting and Analysiso Record credit risk incidents and associated process breakdowns o Assisting the credit Risk Owners and Coordinators with the identification of key risk indicators in their business unitso Report Key Risk Indicators (KRI) breaches and deriving root cause for significant deviations Liaise with the Credit verticals, Risk &business unit representatives.KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESBanking professional with minimum 7-10 years in appraisal/assessment of credit proposals having good exposure in Corporate/SME credit including trade finance of which minimum 3 years of experience in conducting credit audit for SME/Corporate clients.Preference for at least a post graduate (MBA or CA) with relevant concentration in finance and business management. Professional Certifications such as CAIIB/CFA would be an added advantage Must have background in corporate banking as well as capital market/treasury spacesShould have a good understanding of business strategy, plan, products, processes, performance, risks issues and communication of these to Audit Management via risk-based assessmentExcellent presentation skills and the development of related materialsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and prioritizing skillsAbility to influence business partners in addressing control issues and business practicesAbility to work in a unstructured environment and handle a variety of audit assignments simultaneouslyAbility to work with concepts and work independentlyAbility to be adaptable and flexible while responding to deadlines on assignments and workflow fluctuations
Degree: CA (Chartered Accountant)
