Provide project management during all phases of a project as required, including but not limited toWork with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timingGather work estimates from IT teams and vendorsManage resource plans to ensure staffing throughout project lifecycleProvide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performedClearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholdersManage project development and ensure quality control from initiation to closureMonitor project spend against budget, track project tasks and milestones and provide status reports to sponsor and stakeholdersEffectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request formsResolve any issues throughout project life cycleAccountable for project results along with project sponsorAct as a mediator between stakeholders and team membersProvide business analysis during all phases of a project as required, including but not limited toAnalyze and document requirements for projects and / or business processes. May involve investigation of third party vendors or systems.Lead reviews of requirements and designs with relevant stakeholders to obtain agreement and sign off of proposalsParticipate in creating estimates of cost and effort along with project implementation plans to enable prioritization and timely implementationAssist and / or co-ordinate user testing, ensuring issues are resolved in pragmatic and appropriate mannerWork as part of a project team, reporting progress and escalating issues to project management in a timely manner to ensure successful completion of projects / reviewsPerform troubleshooting analysis and issue resolutionTake a lead role from time to time on small projects or specific elements of larger projectsAdhere to standards set by the Invesco project methodologyQualifications Formal EducationBachelor degree is preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required. Work ExperienceMinimum of 3 years' experience developing the skills required for the business analyst / project managerBackground in IT Familiarity with SQL would be a benefitExperience with software development lifecycleKnowledge of Agile development methodologies and Agile project management tools such as RallyMicrosoft Office tools, SharePoint, Project and VisioExperience working in the financial services industry is favoredKnowledge of financial products required Knowledge/ Abilities Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skillsStructured, disciplined approach to work and attention to detailAbility to work in a global, multicultural environmentSelf-motivated and engagedAbility to multi-task on various initiatives and adapt to changing demands or prioritiesAbility to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information in a fast-paced demanding work environmentCapable of working both individually and as part of teamAbility to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departmentsPresentation skills and the ability to influence others in order to meet project objectivesInterpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact and communicate with business partners, other IT teams and vendors at all technical levelsKnowledge of relational database design and construction, include SQL and stored procedures desirable.
