Oversee and lead all copy and brand voice work for product, marketing, community/support, editorial, social media, and business developmentSpend most of your time editing, contribute written words as neededManage our existing Copy Team and own headcount strategy as the needs of this team growAssist with our social media strategy by providing guidance, ideas and the actual words that go into our contentDevelop and kindly enforce! copy best practices and a Headouteditorial style guide. Ensure these evolve as our own strategy evolvesPartner with the Marketing Team on overall SEO strategy. Provide the words and content as neededWork on editorial content and concepts as neededContribute significantly to major Headout campaigns (holiday, etc.)What we're looking forSignificant prior experience in a Copy and/or Editorial role. Preference for candidates with a background in e-commercePrior experience managing a team of junior writersGreat relationship building and stakeholder management skills. The Marketing and Editorial Teams support and work with many folks inside Headout. You ll have to work with them tooYoure comfortable writing all sorts of editorial content including, but not limited to, blog posts, social media and emailsExceptional editing skills- and if you have opinions about the necessity of an Oxford comma, we want to hear themThe ability to appeal to multiple audiences. Your approach is not one fits all and you will have tons of ideas on how to partner with brands both big and small and reach segmented customersSolid understanding of paid and earned media. You should be able to come up with a list of relevant keywords and headers on demandBe a passionate champion of our brand image and voice
