Lead brand and communication strategy and execution for the BASF Agricultural Products (AP) business in India. The role involves participation and facilitation in the branding of new and existing products and translating them into data-driven demand-creation campaigns.Lead digital strategy for AP business in India and launch Digital marketing tools to support the Business growth strategyTo lead the implementation of our strategy from branding and communication perspective by designing, deploying, monitoring and optimizing integrated marketing and brand campaigns. This will also include reporting and monitoring of the competitive landscape.Lead all aspects of product and business promotion activities Technical and professional knowledgeThe ideal candidate will be emotionally aware, enthusiastic, committed and analytical, and have the poise and manner to represent BASF, both internally and externally.This candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, service-oriented, and flexible, adapts easily to change and has a commitment to excellence and innovation.The individual must demonstrate a great team spirit and actively contributes to a collaborative climate.Strong verbal and written communications skills as well as presentation skills are required.Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Candidate should have experience in consumer/farmer promotion in a business-to-consumer environment (FMCG preferred). Experience in scalable promotion tactics and multi-platform campaigns preferred.Needs to be experienced in managing digital advertising campaigns.Strong digital, SEO, content management system and image editing skills preferred RequirementsEducation a Master s degree in marketing or communicationsWorking experience A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in either retail marketing or brand management.Creative or advertising agency experience strongly preferredMedia relations experience preferred Online Communications / Social Media Intensify online communications to increase stakeholder engagement. Maintain and increase the effectiveness of social media activities (Facebook, Website, etc).Create digital strategy and drive digital advertising for the Agriculture business in India, including definition of targets and KPIs, channels, tools and content. Optimize spending to achieve highest rate of return (e.g. conversions, sales enquiries, etc.).Together with the marketing team and Affairs, develop a robust social media strategy for the Agriculture business in India, with measurable objectives and KPIs to make BASF an opinion leader in agriculture topics. Oversee the implementation of the strategy and be accountable for the results.Strengthen BASFs image by translating BASF s Agriculture positioning into an attractive local industry and business positioning. Work closely with the Corporate Affairs team to develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder engagement and advocacy strategies.Media Relations Establish media relations for BASF South Asia Crop Protection business in close cooperation with regional Crop Protection communications and South Asias Corporate Affairs. Involve journalists in key promotion activities such as product launches and promotions, as well as issue/crisis management.Manage interaction and budget / spend with third party providers (e.g. creative agencies and other service providers), ensuring economic decision making. Deliver on briefing, time, and budget.Main Tasks Brand Management Implement a consistent branding strategy for BASF India Crop Protection business, in line with global corporate and business branding strategies. Explore effective and efficient branding opportunities and drive branding excellence across all touch points, including packaging, point of sale materials, sales promotions.Marketing CommunicationsTo lead a branding strategy for agricultural products in India based on sound agronomic, distribution channel and farmer expertise by translating technical product positioning into effective external brand equity and high-impact promotion campaigns.Develop creative concepts for leading product brands and oversee execution of all campaigns.Develop and manage overall brand development plan for BASF India s business.Ensure all brand management related documents are up-to-date and accurate. Manage master templates for all product related communications.Ensure appropriate and timely assignment of creative assets for campaigns. Manage all timelines and production schedules, ensuring all approvals and deadlines are met. Act as key contact among the Agriculture team for approvals on all creatives.
