A Business Development Manager works to improve an organization's market position and achieve financial growth. This person defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. It is their job to work with the internal team, marketing & Sales staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for their organization. To achieve this, they need to find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future. Business Development Manager will also help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive.Job DescriptionThis is a field job and will have to travel mostly. The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling or other means of generating interest from potential clients. Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. To identify and source new business opportunities for our B2B sales, manage the pricing and commercials, driving sales through the sales force.Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.Research and build relationships with new clients and set up demonstration appointments for sales staffSet up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/Principals.Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectivesParticipate in pricing the solution/service.Client RetentionPresent new products and services and enhance existing relationships.Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Degree: MBA/ PGDM

Additional Degree: BA (Arts) | B.Com. (Commerce) | B.Pharm. (Pharmacy) | B.Plan. (Planning) | B.Sc. (Science) | BBA/ BBM/ BBS | BCA (Computer Application) | Diploma-Other Diploma | B.Ed. (Education) | BHM (Hotel Management)
