Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesIs accountable for the Delivery of CarbodyShell Engineering outputs, in compliance with the Engineering QCD commitments. Deploys and applies on project Train Design development procedures. Monitors, controls and consolidates his workpackage. As such - Organizes and leads his workpackage reviews for the project he/she is in charge, - Manages Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan, - Reports his targets to Train Design Engineer/Metier manager (QCD consolidation and risks). Good knowledge in gauging, Material specification / weld types, structural standards (proof, fatigue and crashworthiness), interfaces, weights mngt and manufacturing tolerancesAbility to undertake basic stress calculations Ability to select and mechanical fixings, including; threaded fasteners, huck bolts, rivets on the basis of structural requirementsGood understanding of vehicle architecture and systems and their methods of installation Good awareness of the carbody cost drivers and an ability to optimize solutions to achieve a cost effective system that meets the functionality and performance requirements. Supports Train Design Engineer in establishing Certification & Validation Plans. Organizes Design / Verification reviews and provides the associated reports. Manages Technical Solution, Gaps on application part and Product part in accordance with his Mtier. Defines and monitors the conformity Mechanical Sub-Systems deliveries and other providers with project needs. Supports industrialization and production teams during manufacturing ramp-up. Educational RequirementsBTech/MTech Mechanical Engineering
Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
