Our client, an Abu Dhabi based Group, is looking to hire a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) (Arabic speaking) for their investment and operational business within the hotels and hospitality sector. The core responsibility of this role is to deliver strong, timely and accurate statutory accounts and management based reporting in order to develop governance, reporting capabilities and commercial support. With a reporting line to the CEO and Board of Directors, this role will take ownership of all financial management and accounting related matter across the business entity. You will also ensure the appropriate financial reporting and compliance related controls are in place, linking to both regulatory and internal governance. This reporting function will be overseen in conjunction with the management of transactional accounting linked to payables and receivables, to ensure sufficient funding, cash-flows and capital adequacy requirements. You will also have responsibility for the closure of financial statements at month-end and quarter-end, aligned to GAAP & IFRS policies, whilst liaising with head office finance to set budgets and financial planning parameters. The successful candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with a thorough and recent track record within the hotels and service sector. You should be able to demonstrate a strong grasp of operational and industry best practices and accounting standards. You should also be familiar with international organisations within the regional hospitality sector to ensure the strong technical and cultural alignment that is required.
