Job Details

The candidate will be responsible for handling a team of accountants for the purpose of delivering accurate and timely financial statement to various clients. The candidate must be an effective leader; capable of motivating, developing, supporting staff, and handling the team. The candidate will also require technical knowledge of complex accounting principles and posses high-level customer service skills. The candidate should have an understanding of Core cash and Trade Finance functions. The candidate should possess strong communication, accounting, reconciliation, and analytical skills. The candidate should be able to communicate with Clients, Finance controllers, Internal Auditors and JPM Service Partners to resolve issues and respond to inquiries related to various accounts. The candidate should be able to coordinate, collaborate, and partner with offshore teams to drive solutions and timely deliverables. The candidate will be responsible for performing statistical analysis on the unit's performance including quality, risk, and client satisfaction while keeping management informed of any issues. The candidate must ensure compliance with risk controls to limit financial liability, conduct process reviews to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and coordinate technology development and implementation within the Accounting team plus the offshore teams. The candidate must ensure that the key risk indicators are within the objectives set forth by the department. 6 years experience in the banking industry, preferably in financial accounting operations Bachelor Degree - Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics Proven leadership experience - 1 - 2 years Advanced knowledge of account reconciliation processes Strong analytical, prioritization, organizational and time management skills. Strong multi-tasking and negotiation skills Strong communication skills, both oral and written Excellent customer service skills with attention to detail PC literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access Capable of assisting others in research and reconciliation tasks Team player with the ability to work productively within a group and maintain a high degree of independence
