Job Details

1. Manage the EDaM Releases, in cooperation with the Data Architectsa. Coordinate the EDaM Change Process, including ensuring that the timelines for change reviews are met and reviews are executed correctlyb. Coordinate the release/publication process including ongoing improvementsc. Deliver release documentations2. Manage the EDaM release planning.a. Ensure that the planning is kept up to date and is of high qualityb. Identify potential clashes and prioritization issues to be resolved by the Enterprise Lead Data & App Architect3. Manage the EDaM Maturity planning4. Coordinate the Data Modeller/Project DA Resource Pool (<10 FTE Shell Staff + approx. 10 FTE contractors)a. Ensure competent modellers and project DAs are identified and allocated to projects in a timely manner, succession planning is done and continuity is guaranteedb. Manage funding, charging and accounting for staff as well as contract resources (includes appropriate Contract & Procurement and Finance management)c. Manage and maintain the sourcing of contractors (Request, hire and maintain contractors through IQN etc.)d. Note Modelling activity is generally performed in a project context and always under the functional supervision of a data architect, so operational management of the modellers is not in scope5. Manage the EDaM Assist Desk. Role of EDaM Assist deska. Support the end-user with questions and provide general training, documentation on EDaMb. Assist Information & Data Value Owners (I&DVOs) and Information & Data Definition Owners (I&DDOs) with using the model correctlyc. Maintain the EDaM domain lists, Business Rules and EDaM documentation on behalf of the Data Architecture teamd. Provide EDaM quality KPI reports and continuous improvement thereof6. Drive professionalization of the Data Architecture deliverya. Coordinate interaction with stakeholder communityb. Manage team Sharepoint spacesc. Facilitate DA team meetingsd. Maintain and manage a project portfolio and resource plan7. Coordinate and facilitate training, development communications of DA and DM resources and stakeholdercommunity Dimensions The Data Architecture team is an enterprise wide team of data architects and data modellers, under the leadership of the Enterprise Lead Data & App Architect. The team works globally as a virtual team, and collaboratively leverages one enterprise data model. Special Challenges During the EDaM release preparation, workload may be high at times, which is balanced with less intense periods. Additional comments The Support Lead is the person on point to ensure planning and delivery discipline for a group of highly qualified and motivated professionals (the data architects) as well as technical specialists - and plays a key role in ensuring the success of the information, data and integration agenda in Shell.RequirementsExperience and Qualifications required Awareness of data modelling (relational, object, dimensional...) Awareness of data architecture principles, business analysis principles, and Information and Data Management practices Excellence in stakeholder management and communication Interest in or experience with managing a service organisation Service-oriented, willing to help Team player Strong analytical ability Doer/hands-on attitude Organised and methodical, rigorous, thorough and with a taste for detail Key Competences required Additional comments Skill Proven experience in Project Management (PMI certification is desired) Proven PMO experience Skill in business change management Skill in delivery through influencing others Experienced virtual team worker Used to working in a multi-disciplined IT environment. Appreciation for/ understanding of the 'Information & Data' agenda in ShellKnowledge/awareness Knowledge of Software engineering, release management, change control Knowledge of Data modelling Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF) Knowledge of MDM, data management, data quality issues Knowledge of Shell's business is recommended
Degree: MCA/ PGDCA | ME/ M.Tech./ MS (Engg/ Sciences)

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering) | BCA (Computer Application)
