The mechanical commissioning process engineer performs on hand job the cold and hot communication activities for FGD in a safe manner. The ComE is responsible for the preparation and execution of the commissioning, trial run, acceptance testing and inspection/measurements within his/her scope of work defined by the Com Manager. This position will be based at Vindhyachal Site and is an FTC position for 6 months.Essential ResponsibilitiesThis position will be based at Vindhyachal Site and is an FTC position for 6 months.The Mechanical ComE ensures that All commissioning activities cold and hot are performed according to Manuals, and Quality procedure. Interface with project construction and coordinate with the commissioning schedule resulting in timely completion of activities. Regular interface with the client project management staff to provide daily reports of commissioning progress and review of commissioning documentation through progressive phases of system startup. Provide technical direction for equipment/plant system startup and DCS logic reviews prior to initial operation of major plant equipment. Interface with major equipment field support engineers to prioritize and coordinate equipment commissioning and tuning activities. The personnel assigned to him/her are fully acquainted with the site specific rules, safety regulations and environmental protection measures and that they perform their work accordingly. Be able to do instrument Calibration Thermocouples, RTD s, Pressure and Temperature transmitters, level transmitters, etc. Be able to do pneumatic and hydraulic valves commissioning. Be able to do signal loop checks from field to DCS marshalling Be able to read and understand Logic, SEL, SPL, logics. Etc Be able to understand PLCs and work in coordination with I&C Be able to understand electrical MCC SLD and understand protection settings (LV Only) Be able to do electrical commissioning works like motor and cable meggering for drives and actuators Be able to set electrical motorized valves, drives AUMA, Rotork, etc- Be able to do cold and hot commissioning of the systems like flushing, start up preparation, simulation, and protection checks Be able to assist the turnover TOP engineer in system walk downs Be able to work indendently with their own hands on any system allocated by the lead or COMM Be able to work as per Alstom Porcedures ITP, ITPL, and liaise with Client to exhibite, demonstrate witness point tests. Be able to work in flexible timings as and when required All available tools and aids are utilized in order to achieve the goals of his/her assignment and, as well, to strive for continuous product improvements and cost reduction. All activities not identified in the standard or specific commissioning procedures are carried out under PTW, according the site regulations. When acting in the role of Authorised person PTW process, he is responsible for securing and confirming all TIP isolations. Deviations from the agreed goals are reported and that corrective measures are initiated by arrangement with, and with the support of, the COMM. A performance feedback of all employees assigned to him/her is made to the COMM Commissioning is performed in a safe and timely manner. Prepare for commissioning as specified in the work instructions. Manage, perform, coordinate and monitor the commissioning of the specified systems by arrangement with the COMM. Developing commissioning plans, testing procedures, protocols, and reports for the equipments for STG equipment s and auxiliaries. Organise and supervise the safe operation of the plant (site rules, safety regulations, shift plan, shift log, etc.) from system turnover from erection until PAC by arrangement with the COMM. Facilitate the turnover of systems from erection to commissioning and from commissioning to the customer in accordance with current procedure/work instruction by arrangement with the COMM. Perform commissioning according to the specifications and engineering documents, taking into account the safety instructions, site regulations, environmental protection measures and local regulations.Qualifications/Requirements This position will be based at Vindhyachal Site and is an FTC position for 6 months.University degree or technical qualification in engineering related field.He Shall have minimum 8 years experience in Mechanical commissioning. Fluent in spoken and written English.
