The ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop end to end solutions to enhance various applications within Surveillance area while improving test coverage and time to production.The development manager role will provide technical governance and leadership for the Surveillance Programme in order to make optimum use of technology tool sets, frameworks and reuse of internally developed components, leading to successful deliveries. This role will be ensuring alignment with the platform / enterprise technology roadmaps / direction.This person will also contribute towards streamlining of the other platforms/products within Compliance area to ensure that they are in sync with the evolving long term platform strategyEngage with right delivery partners to help achieve project goalsEstablish and maintain risk assessments to identify and assess the material risks that arise in their area of responsibilityEnsure project / delivery compliance with the relevant bank wide governance / policies.Ensure consistency of technology usage across a program through continuous reviews of existing tools and code and recommendations on best practices.Provide direction on technology use and technology menus, by performing research into new technologies, liaising with technology providers, establishing processes required for adoption.Ensure the business requirements are kept foremost in mind and addressed in all work.Maintain a good relationship with users by providing clear feedback on issues and user assistance.Continuously improve technical competency across programs and departments, by establishing relevant training, actively mentoring technologists and driving implementation of best practices and adherence to standards.Supervise direct reports and their activities effectively, including effective record keeping and documentation of key people issues. Ensure direct reports and management teams are competent and have clearly defined responsibilities, both collectively and individually in line with the five pillars of supervision excellenceRole should display commercial awareness when proposing architectural solutions. Ability to communicate with International clients independently and effectively.Pro-active and capable of taking ownership of applications.Demonstrated expertise in problem solving and innovative approach to finding resolutionsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build client confidence.Proven ability to document and share knowledge with team membersThe CompetenciesEssentialGood technical breadth across technology domains.Extremely strong OOAD designerStrong language agnostic technical lead, who is able to work and mentor multiple projects teams, working in different languages like Java and / or C#.Experience on building distributed applications.Strong understanding of SOA, RESTWeb services development and design etc.Supplementary Experience (Good to have)Banking domain knowledge (Sensitivity Data exposure is desirable)Awareness about architecture frameworks.Awareness of Complex Event Programming tools and architecture.Experience with data secrecy and implementation of apps that manage confidential data The RequirementsEssential Experience (Must have)Around 12 to 15 years of experience in Design & Development of Enterprise grade applicationsExperience of working in a dynamic environment often with shifting priorities.Extensive exposure to high pressure, high transaction volume environment.Experience and sound knowledge of n-tier architectures, service oriented and distributed architecturesExtensive experience in publishing architecture blueprints and technology roadmaps.Experience and interest with Agile, DevOps and Test Driven Development methodologiesStrong communication skills and leadership capabilitiesExperience of Trade Life Cycle, Products and Asset Classes
Degree: MCA/ PGDCA

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)

Experience: 12-15
