Component Engineer is responsible for component engineering which includes creating symbols and footprints for electrical & electronic OEM components, review of components, processing & review of Supplier change requests within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, etc. He/ She will also be required to support advanced electrical projects. The component Engineer will also be responsible for tracking industry trends and help create a road map.Essential ResponsibilitiesDuties include (but are not limited to)* Create eCAD library components.* Reviewing components for compliance with GE guidelines & interact with global teams and forlibrary development process.* Comply with GEHC Quality Management System.* Use advanced digital design methodology and simulation / analysis skills to solve technicalproblems in order to help design teams achieve design excellenceQualifications/Requirements* Bachelors in Electrical / Electronics* 2 ~ 5 years of relevant industrial experience in design and development* Good knowledge of PWA/PWB design techniques. Experience in signal integrity and EMI/EMCdesign requirements.* Good knowledge of electrical engineering design, troubleshooting to component level, systemengineering, analog and digital circuitry design, power controls; familiarity of safety codes;* Strong problem solving skills. Should have understanding of systematic analysis &troubleshooting of mixed signal designs.* Excellent teamwork, verbal and written communication skills.* Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task* An expert in the use of multiple CAD design tools, preferably Cadence 16.5 toolsetDesired Characteristics* Experience in the following areas with relevance to board design-Digital and analog circuits involving FPGA/CPLD designs.-ADC, DAC, Memories, Power circuits for digital designs. Knowledge in DSP would be an addedadvantage* Global project experience
Degree: M.Com. (Commerce) | M.Pharm. (Pharmacy) | M.Sc. (Science) | MA (Arts) | MBA/ PGDM | MCA/ PGDCA

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)

Experience: 2-5
