Key specific accountabilities. Event Management (5%) Monitor the Network Infrastructure performance and health and remediate if there are any events indicating any degradation of Network services. Incident Management (20%) Handle the Network Issues reported either by the end users, application owners or other support teams (Including the events) and drive it to resolution/restoration of services. Change Management (60%) Implement the technical changes/ configuration changes at the Network level (Switch, Router, Firewall) and new setup. Knowledge Management (5%) Sharing of knowledge with the peers for self and team development. Timely Escalations of required incidents to L2 support team and ensuring closure of L1 incidents within agreed SLAs (5%). Service Improvements (5%) The associate will be required to be part of the service improvement initiatives and would be expected to work on the automation and process documentation/implementation.o Stakeholder management and leadership.Candidates will interact with internal users within Barclays to resolve their Queries and Issues on Core Network Infrastructure. Candidate will have to work on Requests, Incidents, Alerts and Changes related to and will need to interact with Teleco vendors such as Tata, Relaince, BT, Vodfone, Verizon, Bharti and oproduct vendors like Cisco, F5, Fortigate, Checkpoint, Bluecoat, Arista, Juniper etc. o Decision making and problem solving.Candidate should have sound Decision making and Problem solving skills. Should have good troubleshooting skills in resolving issues related to Voice Infrastructure. o Risk and Control All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Your Skills and Qualifications will include The ability and willingness to change direction and focus to meet shifting organizational and business demands. Comfortable to work in 24*7 environments Essential Technical Skills/Competencies Core knowledge of Web browsing infrastructure and Bluecoat Proxy Devices and Proxy rule sets In depth understanding of switching and VLAN concepts on Layer 2 and 3 switches. Functions knowledge of Routing Protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP Experience with Cisco and Juniper enterprise grade L2/L3 Switches and Routers In depth understanding of all types of NAT functions. Functional knowledge of F5 LTM, GTM and VIPRIONS server load balancing platforms Should understand and be able to provision different types of Virtual Servers / Pools / Profiles / Monitors / WIPs / SNATs Should know how to use various troubleshooting utilities like ping, traceroute, pathping, netstat, nslookup, dig, tcp dump, telnet, fiddler, wireshark etc to troubleshoot connectivity/firewall/load balancing/web browsing/DNS/DHCP issues. Should have working knowledge of DNS and DHCP protocols. Functional knowledge on Fortigate/Checkpoint/Juniper Firewalls Sound knowledge of Change Management and ITIL best practices
