Global Network Services (GNS) supports one of the largest enterprise networks spanning over 60 countries with over 2 million data network ports, and 30,000 network devices. The Corporate Network team maintains the LAN/WAN and wireless networks supporting over 500 locations globally encompassing 6,700 network devices. The GNS Corporate Network Service Owner is responsible for managing a team of lead engineers and engineers, motivating and empowering them to successful project execution. He/she is responsible for budget management, change management, resource staffing and tier 4 escalation support. Must be able to articulate the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information with ease and knows when to seek senior management assistance. Displays excellent command of business knowledge and has the ability to solicit input from internal and external sources. Drives medium-to-large scale projects and delivers presentations with minimal supervision. Is recognized as a positive leader and frequently provides feedback and strategic recommendations to management. Affects change within sphere of influence and leads development of innovative improvements and automation. Ability to work independently with light touch from management. Some weekend and off hour work required. Responsibilities include but are not limited toDevelopment of service roadmaps, service management & service marketingPartnering with and influencing technology, line of business and real estate partnersAlignment of service improvements and new services with technology roadmapsTechnical/Business planningTrending investments and savings initiativesService and Product PricingManagement of operating budgetsBenchmarking the expense base across the industry, building and maintaining good supplier relationshipsDevelopment of KPIs and communicating to customers, stakeholdersAlignment of business requirements with service deliverablesIncorporating client feedback and operational improvements into the service planning process to driveEnhanced quality and stabilityUnderstanding of the availability and scalability to support new business requirementsAssessment of commercial aspects of new technologyStrong proponent of innovation and driving adoption, as appropriate, new technologiesOperational efficiency plansMaintaining a strong control and risk management environmentIntroduction of streamlined and automated process improvementsCore technologies to role Enterprise IP routing/switching with emphasis on scale , resilience, efficiency and automation.QualificationsCollege degree or equivalent work experience10 years in telecommunications and network technologiesExperience with large network deploymentsExperience working with a global geographically disbursed teamProven experience with a large global financial organizationProven experience with telecom carrier service offeringsExperienced with business/financial management of network servicesStrong communications and client skills and experience with end user supportExperience managing technology risk in a large organizationA track record of having created new operating models and support structures aligned with technology roadmaps - planning and executionExperience with ITIL and ITSM framework developmentAbility to prepare presentations to technical and non-technical audienceWorking knowledge of automated provisioning conceptsUnderstanding of basic Web Services and cloud servicesPersonal pride in the quality and thoroughness of deliverables
Degree: MCA/ PGDCA | ME/ M.Tech./ MS (Engg/ Sciences)
