MRL is a world-class research lab that excels at novel product development through fundamental architecture research and transformative design exploration techniques. The India Lab specifically, in collaboration with MRL-US and Intel product architecture teams world-wide, will spearhead the research and advanced development of Microprocessor Cores in the 2022 and beyond timeframe. By conceiving of and prototyping radical approaches, the Lab will aim to deliver much greater CPU power and area efficiency while still delivering industry-leading performance. The microarchitecture and design of these advanced CPUs will be aggressively co-optimized with Intel's sub-10nm technology nodes deep into the next decade. The main responsibilities will include power/area/performance driven architecture and microarchitecture development and optimization of CPU Cores. This will be followed by prototype development - logic design and RTL development and RTL-to-GDS synthesis and layout optimizations. The ideal candidate will advance the state-of-the-art in deep collaboration with product architecture/design teams while also contributing to scientific literature/conferences and developing Intellectual Property.
