Job Details

Build positive relationships with teams in IAS, especially the key data consumers and analytics. Take the time to increase knowledge of how they run their business and incorporate sales data into daily work.Connect regularly with each sales office to understand current issues and challenges. Probe the business and validate against other sales offices to understand the scope and priority of the issue.Make recommendations on how data unifications and flow can be used to improve business tasks. Liaise with IBDG team and business partners to deliver IAS solutions (reports, processes, technology) that add value.Proficiency with all Associate activities. Leverage understanding of business to proactively reach out to sales teams and identify areas for improvement. Present and lead discussion regarding proposed changes. Collaborate with business partners to develop and deliver solutions.Provide data management subject matter expertise. Appreciate the connection and data flow between IAS applications and other corporate systems. Be able to clearly articulate the IAS data needs and move initiatives forward by collaborating with business partners (FTT, GMS, TA, etc).Actively participate in meetings with business partners to ensure that IAS priorities are clearly understood, information is regularly shared and that key participants are kept in the loop .Provide context and background on IAS issues. Collaborate on ideas for progressing initiatives. Ensure appropriate resources are involved to take initiatives forward.Provide insights and expertise to scope statements and requirements documentation.Actively consult or participate in the user acceptance testing process (test cases, documentation, testing execution, etc.).Ensure IAS needs remain aligned with overall corporate initiatives and deliver the benefits as originally intended.Proficiency with all Associate activities. Understand and be able to clearly articulate the dataflow model to others. Be able to connect the dots, and determine the impact to IAS.Monitor the integrity of data and usefulness of reports. Ensure the information available within IAS systems is accurate and up-to-date. Proactively seek data cleansing opportunities and evolve data to better support IAS. Document and maintain ongoing processes for reporting and data clean-up.Partner with all key data consumers to gain a solid understanding of usage and challenges around data. Establish processes for prioritization of enhancements, especially with the analytics groups.Provide 1st level support for data issues and data maintenance for IAS and IAS owned data.Verify and execute data loads into our internal sales systems and ensure any upstream systems accurately receive their data.Increase awareness and promote data management capabilities. Share best practices and provide coaching to local offices on how to access and incorporate output into sales tasks. Encourage IAS leaders to leverage data to make more informed, strategic decisions.Clearly articulate the goals and core services of the data management team. Proactively promote this information within IAS and ensure business partners understand the data management role within the organization.Share best practices and provides guidance to IAS on data capabilities. Reinforces IAS ownership and accountability for data accuracy.Seek opportunities to share the benefits of leveraging sales data to make more informed business decisionsProficiency with all Associate activities. Identify areas where Data and Reporting services could add value. Work with senior members of the team to share ideas with IAS and business partners Proficiency with all Associate activities. Run more complex reports and manage change requests with little to no assistance. Provide ideas to improve reports and data qualityQualifications III. RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE Four year bachelor s degree required (majors of preference include business, computer science, mathematics) Advanced degree a plus.Understanding of the Franklin Templeton business model, how FT makes money, the sales process, how technology fits in with the business, etc. Knowledge of the IAS structure.Experience working through multiple business fiscal cycles; exposure and/or direct experience with project management and/or sales-related-capacity required.Prior work experience related to analytics, sales, marketing and/or international a must. Level will not be granted based on years of experience but will be determined by the employees ability to meet each job activity as outlined the typical/expected focus by level. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management; ability to tailor communication style based on audience; ability to get others to want to collaborate with you; strong facilitation skills.Excellent writing skills (for presentations, documentation, etc.).Expert knowledge of the CRM, ISR and Business Objects, Excel and Microsoft Access.Ability to absorb and interpret large quantities of data; apply trend analysis and knowledge of the business to develop a meaningful and digestible summary with the appropriate level of detail.Ability to take a larger problem and break down the individual components; identify how to go about solving the problem and who to involve in the process.Ability to present recommended solutions to a variety of issues and problems (solutions that are consistent with organization objectives).Must be extremely detail-oriented (tracking budgets, managing lists, tasks/to-dos, etc.); good with follow through on own items; good with following up with others on outstanding itemCHALLENGESWhile IAS is one division, the division is made up of multiple countries or regions each with varying needs and complexities.Complexities and influences of a multi-country division include language, cultural sensitivities, mutual fund market maturity, products sold, office location/staff , Franklin Templeton presence within the country, etc.As a champion for various initiatives, members of this team are expected to understand the unique aspects of the business within each country AND take the information to balance overall international requirements. Approach and decisions are taken with a think global act local approach.Due to the circumstances, the team does not have the luxury of focusing on one system, process or specialty; they are required to address initiatives across multiple systems and business requirements.It is the responsibility of this team to influence and motivate colleagues, not direct reports. This can be challenging and requires a certain degree of persuasion and finessing.This team must identify the necessary resources and tap into their expertise; often guiding these resources through to the successful completion of all aspects of the initiatives (e.g., FTT, various PMO groups, Legal, Marketing, etc
