Work with Sales and/or Marketing, and lead Consensus and PR, DRand MBR meetings; resolve demand-related queries.Drive improvement in forecast accuracy by analyzing existing processes and making recommendations; drive tracking ofperformance of SKUs. Accuracy tracking would be at high level (monthly/item forecasts) and at lower levels of detail (Weekly / item/ location).Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Planning to help manage introductions, re-stages and discontinuations.Development of detailed consensus forecast. After buy-in ofconsensus forecast for items based on sales, marketing, independent forecast inputs and statistical analysis this forecast needs to befurther detailed into weekly buckets at the item location level for Production and replenishment planning. This will include use ofadvanced tools and knowledge of statistical forecast modeling, causal modeling and linear regression forecasting. High level consensusforecasts must be entered in to SAP or an alternate ERP, and detailed accordingly.Review of weekly sales against forecast. Issues identified wherevolume fluctuations are out of range determined. Drives decision with sales/marketing to change forecast or keep as is. If forecast is tobe changed mid-month in system, overrides will be implemented by demand planner with sales/marketing approval so that changes inProduction, Purchasing, and all Supply Chain executions stay in sync.Create and monitor a statistical forecast in SAP or an alternate ERP.Utilize existing exception management and develop new exception management to drive improvement in forecast accuracy.Work closely with Supply Chain representatives to resolve productdeletion issues related to forecast accuracy. Must remain flexible and willing to react quickly to real and perceived forecast issues.Collaborate with Sales and Key Customers to incorporate customerspecific information into the forecast.Drive continuous improvement by examining existing demand planning processes and making recommendations for improvement.Maximize the forecasting technologies available.Qualifications5 to 7 years of business forecasting experience, 10+ years of combined business experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods industry.Bachelors degree in Engineering / Science / CommerceMasters Degree in Operations Management / Logistics / OperationsResearch / Supply Chain / Materials ManagementKnowledge of Sales, Marketing,Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR), VMI and SalesOperations Planning processes (S&OP).Knowledge of one or more of the major statistical forecasting software packages(i.e. SAP APO, Logility, Manugistics).Specific knowledge with SAP desired.Expert in Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Access and ExcelStrong analytical and statistical skills.Good understanding of NormalDistribution concept and Statistical Process Control process and tools.Exceptional interpersonal skills,communication (both written and oral), presentation, influencing and conflictmanagement
