REQUIREMENT FOR THE CREATION/UPGRADATION/DOWNGRADING OF POSITIONThis is a new position to support EU Digital marketing initiatives. This position was originally a contract role but got converted to Fulltime and transferred to Bangalore, IN based on location strategy. This new position works with EU Digital agencies, Global DMS team.2. PLACE IN ORGANISATION (Describe the reporting structure one level up and down, with designations and WL, for this position. If many changes are being proposed, a current and proposed structure is required.) 3. EXPECTED WORK (Explain the purpose of the job and what it must accomplish. Enlist the tasks that this position will beaccountable for [3+1 goals] and will be performing on a day to day basis).In the area of Digital Marketing Services, this position s main responsibilities are managing the global hosting of web sites in conjunction with third party suppliers. This includes presenting a vision to the broader organization of the business technology, the process benefits and challenges, while considering measurable impact on the profitability or effectiveness of the organization.This position provides a leadership and direction to the hosting innovation team and third party suppliers. This includes creating proposals to meet customer needs, procurement of web hosting computing capacity, quality assurance of the hosting environment, turn over to the customer, putting appropriate monitoring in place, and work with hosting partners to provide production support for the hosting environment. When requests for new software are received, this role is responsible for reviewing suitability with architecture management and identifying alternatives, as required. This position is also responsible for evaluation and selection of vendor technologies and solution recommendations. Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine requirements, and specify effective business processes. Organizes their implementation through improvements in information systems, data management, practices and, organization.Works with third party production partners to launch new websites under the common Digital technology platform (Avinash) and help on website localization when necessary. Supports Digital Marketing applications in the hosing environment from selection through design and implementation.Performs quality assurance and assists clients/users in defining acceptance tests for automated systems, and takes responsibility for their proper execution. Comply with consumer data quality and privacy guidelines. Adhere to the data architecture guidelines. Adhere to all department procedures and controls as well as follow Unilever CTO guidelines on web based technologies.Perform skill/knowledge transfer of technical and/or business expertise to other staff members through mentoring and instruction.Assure the business is aware of implemented capabilities, and to seek opportunities for benefit maximization (usability, exploitation). Provide knowledge Transfer to running organization upon project completion.Level 3 and level 4 application support along with 3rd party suppliers. Assists Services, Program Operations, and Program Planning with user support. Provides technical help (including code snippets, context and examples) to agencies based on Unilever-specific requirements for implementations of 3rd party technologies.Works with the IT Business Partners, Unilever Brand Teams and managed service providers to construct and refine statements of work (SOW) proposals for services and hardware. 4. RESOURCE TO BE MANAGED UNDER POSITIONS AUTHORITY (Include Budget, Capital Expenditure, NPS, People, systems, financial values, etc. details for which this position will be directly responsible/accountable for) This position is responsible to provide technical solutions for Digital programs in EU region.This position will not manage any resources or budget but may be assigned to lead projectsof medium to high complexity. This position will be managed by Sreenivas Yalamanchili, Global Technical Manager (DMS). 5, PROBLEM SOLVING (Describe the nature and variety of problems that are faced by this position. Give upto 5 examples) Become subject matter expert (SME) on processes and technologies that in-turn helps digital agencies deliver within Unilever guidelines.Maintains technical awareness at a level where alternatives can be analyzed, modeled and classified according to technical feasibility and performance. Utilizes business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities.Applies available standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way, and produces a consistently high standard of documentation of both a technical and a descriptive nature. Consult and influence main Stakeholders on benefits and impacts of processes and technology transformationMUST HAVEStrong knowledge of web/digital technologies, infrastructure architectureKnowledge of associated business processes in this space.Strong consultation, interpersonal and influencing skills.Business Analysis TechniquesCorporate, Industry and Professional Standards. Give upto 5 examples) Works with his management and CTO colleagues as required, supporting investigations at a high level for strategy studies, requirements specifications and feasibility studies.Oversee technology and process improvement activities (External and internal orientation)Responsible for major DMS initiatives that require the careful planning, architecting and implementation of global hosting services throughout preferred 3rd party data centers while maintaining efficiency and system responsiveness. Consistently canvases the industry newswires to offer innovative products, services and topics to the greater team that can potentially improve or add to the DMS service portfolio.Propose streamline activities for IT technologies and processes and work to eliminate redundancy. 7. TASK HORIZON (Identify time which must elapse to know whether the most important decisions taken by this position are successfully implemented) Must take both short term and long term decisions constantly since digital innovation never stops.8.
