DESCRIPTIONTo work as the link between the Corporate office and the Region in order to pass to the field the Human Resources Corporate philosophy and goals. To coordinate and guide the Human Resources function for the Region, ensuring that all the Corporate Human Resources Strategies, Hyatt Corporate values and culture, as well as Policies and Procedures are implemented correctly. The successful candidate will report directly to the VP Operations, India and would lead and drive the HR function in the hotels in the India region by following brand standards and managing employee engagement activities. He/She will be responsible in the areas of workforce planning, recruitment, communication, employee relations, training and development, talent/succession planning, and compensation/ benefits. To develop the Area Directors of Human Resources in their functions and developing the Human Resources talent pool at large. You will overlook the HR functions of 20 plus hotels in India in conjunction with the Area Human Resources Directors. You will work closely with the General Managers and Area Human Resources Directorson the recruitment and development plans for top management employees.This position will be based out of the Gurgaon Regional office in India.QUALIFICATIONS* Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Director of Human Resources role at an international five star hotel * Work experience in large cities and regions in India is preferred with previous experience abroad would be beneficial * The candidate would need to have previous Cluster or Area experience and capable of managing several hotels simultaneously * Pre-opening experience would be an advantage * Excellent communication skills are required in both English and the local language. * Large team handling skills are a must * Should have worked on local and international HR software and systems and have a good understanding of how these systems work * You would need to have a solid grasp of the local labor laws in India * Extensive travel to different parts of India will be required * This position requires a Business School or University degree in Human Resources Management or Hotel Management or an equivalent qualification
