Job DescriptionThe role provides leadership to the product managers across the products in particular Business unit, within the Indian Organisation. The incumbent will work with Business (strategy, sales, implementation and services) to gain market & client insights using different techniques . to develop the business & product strategy, build assets and capabilities to drive competitive advantage for Product solutions and execute on the roadmap.The role leads the team of product owners who are responsible for understanding market requirements and delivering comprehensive solutions that delight the end users. The role is also responsible for the development and management and product management of any partners that work in conjunction with organization. The Senior Director works closely with CPO (VP, Product management) of each business unit responsible for the product P&L ensuring product(s) achieves margin/profit objectives. The leader collaborates closely with the Director/ Senior Director/ VP of Development in India to deliver superior products from India. Works with Business Unit leadership, Sales and Service Leaders, Developers and Product Managers across the business units to ensure vision/strategy is aligned and is being applied consistently in all markets. Works closely with field organization to ensure the product(s) can be mass installed and mass serviced, while achieving our service quality and implementation quality targets.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES1. Collaborates with Chief Product Owner to drive the product vision for the business unit. Works closely with Business Unit global & local leadership to identify priority segments, and lead development and execution of product plans that support business objectives. Where appropriate, leads development and negotiations of strategic partnerships with software/service providers and manages existing relationships with alliances as they relate directly within respective domains.2. Leads the team of product owners and senior product owners who are responsible for full Product Lifecycle Management of business unit. Communicates the product vision to ensure product delivery is aligned with strategy. Leads the balance of business needs with technology assessments, and recommends alternative technical approaches to meet design requirements when needed. 3. Ensures product owners contribute to the overall product suite roadmap, product portfolio and priorities. Ensures product owners work within SCRUM teams (SCRUM of SCRUMs) in a highly integrated model to develop a cohesive product plan and release strategy based on business unit requirement.4. Serves as the key client facing contact for the product portfolio owned from India. Engages critical 3rd party influencers, analysts, and consultants to educate the market on companies portfolio of products and services. Partners with Marketing teams to ensure go-to-market and pricing policies are aligned with product portfolio objectives. Monitors commercial success as well as overall product performance and competitiveness in the marketplace, and takes corrective actions as appropriate.5. Creates and sustains a high performing & innovative culture within the Product management organization in India.6. Drives a culture of Product leadership within India in collaboration with Development leaders as part of the senior leadership team.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSSupervisor Reports to the Head of Product Development, India with a strong dotted line reporting relationship to CPO, Product ManagementSupervisory Authority Multiple direct reports, including leading other managers. Must manage a complex matrix organization including IT, Service and Sales QUALIFICATIONSEducation Bachelors Degree with MBA and/ or advanced Technical Degree requiredExperience 14+ years of experience in a market-facing software and enterprise solutions product role. Experience working with Agile methodology strongly preferred. Significant knowledge of Human Capital market domain. Demonstrated thought leadership will be a huge asset; authored articles, speaking and/or moderating experience at industry trade conferences desirable. People management experience required. Strong understanding & application of advanced technology in products, especially data science, semantic search, API/ market place and user experience.Generic Skills Must be able to build and lead strong product teams that achieve high standards of performance. Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders without having a formal reporting relationship. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required, including representing company externally to our clients and the market. Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally. Creative yet analytical uses data to support and drive recommendations. Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment necessary. Must be a strong collaborator, team player as well as an individual contributor.
