The SAP BW data warehouses, supported by the Shell Downstream MICC (Management Information Competency Centre), deliver critical Reporting & Analytics capabilities across most of the businesses and processes in Shell Downstream (DS). Those systems residing on a HANA database also offer capabilities for more advanced and real-time analytics. There are more than 37,000 users using these Downstream Data platforms, containing data from a variety of systems, supporting a.o. Retail, Global Commercial, Lubes Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Trading and Supply, Finance, Tax and HSSE businesses and functions. The MICC is the team accountable for driving value from the Reporting platforms thru close collaboration with the business. There is a growing emphasis on unlocking the value of the data generated/contained in the DS-wide platform the requirement for joining data from the different businesses grows on a daily basis and the already high level of integration within the systems only increases.The Agile and SSBI Support team plays a key role in transforming the MICC from a Team, which delivers MI functionality, to a team that facilitates, from an IT perspective, the Analytics community in DS.The MICC of the future will focus more on defining and maintaining a landscape that maximally supports Self-Service BI (SSBI) and analytics ideation and it should act as a key technology advisor for the business in their ambition to unlock value from data.Spotfire is one of the most popular self-service visualisation tools in the DS business. The Agile MI Analyst will provide advice to users in the business on how to best develop their Spotfire solutions and will also develop new Spotfire solutions in close collaboration with the business. Key responsibilitiesDrives clarification of analytics and visualisation requirements and assesses with other experts in the MICC which are the best tools to meet the requirementsDelivers effort estimates for these Spotfire solutionsSpecifies and documents the technical side of the Spotfire solutions according to the agreed guidelinesDevelops and tests the Spotfire solutions in close collaboration with the businessEnhances existing Spotfire solutions based on new business demandActs as advisor to self-service business users on the use of SpotfireSupports the visualisation side of POCs in the HANA Data LabKey knowledge areas3-5 years of experience with Spotfire is mandatoryKnowledge of other reporting tools is a pre (SAP BI4, Tableau, Qlikview)Knowledge of data integration tools is a pre (Alteryx, PowerBI)Knowledge of HANA Native Modeling is a preRequirements Key competencesDelivery focused with doer/hands-on attitudeSkilled in requirements gathering and documenting from a technical solution perspectiveSolid communication skills, able to interact with business end usersOrganized and methodical.Can manage few projects and activities in parallel.Experienced virtual team workerBehaviorsAuthenticityInspire by personal integrity, transparency and humilityResilient under pressure, strengthened by adversityAssess risk and take decisions under pressurePerformanceLead delivery of extraordinary outcomes for the business, especially apply changes without business interruption GrowthSet direction and capture opportunities to generate sustainable valueActive in external environment for new perspectives and opportunities.
