The Project Planner will assist the PD/PDM/PM team in developing/delivering reporting and streamlined processes that assist in the delivery of Global Commercial's IT investment goals.Manage the monthly Programme Management Office operations for the Global Commercial IT investment portfolio. Ensure that critical deadlines are achieved every month and that high quality data is delivered. Tightly control the data collection processes across 200-250 projects and operate stringent quality control. Produce monthly MI and use knowledge and experience to highlight areas requiring management attention. Manage and deliver ad hoc information and analysis requirements.Accountable for planning and facilitating the monthly PM/PDM community meetings, monthly DV Manager / BI manager Programme review meetings, the monthly Heath Check Tracker meeting and annual F2F meeting. The Project Planner develops and delivers training material to address financial/quality assurance requirements and help improve PM delivery capability.Participates in the cross-business PMO Network, contributing to DS-wide change, improvement and standardisation initiatives.Support compliance with PDF, PCP and project reviews through reporting and management of compliance. Continue to explore areas where we can better leverage our onshore/offshore resources. Look for further opportunities to eliminate, simplify and/or automate.Administers the recurring project approval process (Investment Proposal and Budget Release Statement approvals), maintain accurate approval records and insure the overall budget is accurately represented.Requirements- Experience of operational environments where the monthly timetable must be followed is extremely important but not essential- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and dynamically assess relative priority- Strong organizational skills to co-ordinate many groups of people in multiple locations to achieve the monthly operational targets- Must be able to work with low level details and summarise when required. Succinct communication skills are essential- Ability to work independently- Experience managing IT projects is required- Proven analytical skills and highly numerate. Must have thorough understanding of Excel and PowerPoint to ensure that they are fully self-sufficient when preparing analysis and MI- Work effectively in virtual, geographic dispersed, cross cultural environments- Experience of building a high performance team and implementing process improvement opportunities- People skills are essential and previous experience managing off-shored activities would be beneficial- Experience in facilitation, planning and delivering global workshops/meetings would be beneficial
