Job/Role descriptionNew Business FinanceLeader will be responsible for managing a large team of opportunity consultants (OC) based in India supporting all the regionsWork proactively with pursuit teams to develop and support creative business opportunities in a manner that strengthens and protects corporate business and financial interestsWork in large, cross-division functional teams or projects to develop strategy and set functional policy and direction. Need to ensure proposed financial/ commercial solutions comply with business, financial, standard business principles and commercial terms of the corporation and business unit.Expected to develop plans and models that are innovative alternatives and facilitate acceptance by the customers, SOAR (Solution Opportunity Approval & Review Process) reviewersResponsible for ensuring smooth transition and delivery of the plan into implementation by working closely with the account finance teamResponsible for clearly setting out financial modelling strategy clearly for his teams, solution teams supporting business opportunities and provide guidance to the team in determining the pricing strategy, and also leading/ supporting the price to win exercisePortfolio FinanceProvide leadership to Portfolio Finance (PF) team responsible for setting the labor and volume-metric rates used for external and internal charging, The team members will be spread across multiple geographic locationsResponsible for ES standard cost development and business planning impact and analysis.Engage in a business partnership role with portfolio, engineering, delivery, sales Support and finance teams/leadershipEnsure proactive management of annual rate updation planning and cost-to-price related processes for ES standard cost requirementsTeam DevelopmentAbility to manage managers and their extended teams, including multiple separate, but related, functionsAttract, develop and retain key talent to meet current and future business capability needs and develop succession pool for critical finance rolesIncrease employee engagementCoach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned workOverall / OthersMake business decisions/ suggestions based on in-depth key financial factors. Recommendations should be backed by data and should be able to hold it when challengedCreate anenvironment in which interaction with customers is expected to strengthen relationships. Influence decisions aligned to company goals while having open and straight talk about difficult issuesConsult with business leaders at the SVP and VP level to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scopeWorks with cross cultural teams based out of different geographies to drive the desired outcome. Requires flexibility of working across time zonesDemonstrate excellence in engagement delivery, thought-leadership, strategic problem solving, high impact team management and strong customer relations at senior executive levelsQualificationsCAs, CPAs, MBAs (from reputed schools)Typically 15+ years of experience with 4+ years in people management rolesTypically experienced in a variety of finance functions with preference to IT service industryRequired Experience/SkillsPrior exposure to IT services industryPrior exposure to services deal pricing a must. . Especially helpful if there is past pricing/pursuit support at a India pure playStrong Analytical skills with an ability to synthe. Data mining abilityExcellent communication and presentation skills. Should possess superior ability to present data in a logical, executive consumable mannerAbility to deal with ambiguity, connect the dots and form the big pictureSelf-motivated, Go getters with demonstrated ability to take initiatives driving business outcomesExcellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysisSuperior people and project management skills. Strong track record in developing peopleExcellent consulting, influence, and negotiation skillsAbility to build partnerships across functions
