Provide strategic leadership to Global Engineering team for Power Services based out of India and work very closely with regional engineering leaders for Power services around India region.Essential Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership to Global Engineering team for Power Services based out of India, by working closely with VP&CTO, Power Services & GE Power India Engineering Leader and other stakeholders across functions, product lines & regions. Provide Overall Technology & People leadership to the Global engineering center for PS in India in terms of employee experience, operational leadership, Driving engineering rigor and overall people responsibility from a standpoint of capability growth through people development Ensure a culture of innovation and business outcome driven development /execution across the CoE to drive market competitiveness for our products and services Provide engineering technical competence and guidance to the individual teams to ensure that goals are achieved and delivered, on world class quality within the agreed time and cost. Ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet solution development and/or customer requirements. Work very closely with regional engineering leaders for Power services around India region ( MEA, India, APAC & China) to provide the scale and support of the global center for Power services in the region Collaborate with GE Power Engineering teams within the India to promote cross pollination of ideas, Innovation and systems thinking. Play a role of key point of contact for Power Services in terms of collaborating and driving business outcomes with GRC Bangalore teams working on PS programs Work closely with key stakeholders including regional stakeholders to align technology and product strategies. Play a key role in Channelizing regional product needs to the right stakeholders within the global PS product line engineering organization Leverage the manufacturing and sourcing capability in the region to play a role in addressing product cost out strategies for PS global center organizationQualifications/Requirements Bachelors Degree in engineering discipline or other comparable technical field. Minimum 12 years of experience, 8 of which in a leadership role of engineering management and/or technology leadership experience, including multi-discipline engineering and/or cross-functional experience. Prior history of meeting quarterly/annual technology and R&D goals, including scheduled development milestones. Black Belt Six Sigma Certification (for GE employees only).Desired Characteristics Significant Mechanical design experience in the areas of turbo-machinery components/sub-systems Prior experience successfully anticipating risk and creating effective contingency plans. Prior experience managing big engineering teams covering multi-disciplinary technology areas Prior experience effectively aligning an organizations mission, strategy and direction with vision. Prior experience effectively creating an environment that encourages innovation and appropriate yet courageous risk-taking. Prior experience promoting collaboration and removing obstacles to effective teamwork across the business. Ability to drive business solutions through influence and collaboration in a global, matrix organization. An impact player with proven ability to drive change in an effective and participative manner. Ability to successfully lead and implement strategic change initiatives Strong cross-functional integration skills and ability to lead large teams Demonstrated oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Strong organizational and facilitation ability
