Purpose To set up and lead a Facilities management division in UAE and assure the effective functioning of the business to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources services and processes to meet the needs of the company Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Direct and oversee the activities of Facilities management Strategy aiming at identifying analyzing and recommending specific business opportunities for the profitable growth and diversification of Facilities management Responsible for building new key customer relationships as well as identifying new business opportunities to provide facility management services Develop and implement a facilities management program including preventative maintenance and life cycle requirementsConduct and document regular facilities inspectionsEnsure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codesAllocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiencySupervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipmentOversee buildings refurbishment and renovationsPlan and manage facility central services such as reception security cleaning catering waste disposal and parkingImplement best practice processes to increase efficiencyObtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliersCalculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost effectivenessManage performance develop and train staffQualifications and Skills Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as project management business management or construction managementExperience in construction maintenance and all facets of facility operationSupervisory experienceWorking knowledge of principles and practices of project management business administration financial principles and practiceselectrical and mechanical systems Working knowledge of procurement and contracts Sound knowledge of health safety and environmental regulationsSolid computer and systems knowledgeGood communication skillsPlanning and organizational skillsNegotiation skillsProblem analysisDecision makingAdaptabilityTeam work
