This role is responsible for overall operational management and service delivery of GA & AP operations across 37 countries & 200+ legal entities globally and involves taking full ownership of the accounting of these entities and be the single point of contact to the Business Finance, Controllers, Procurement and Treasury amongst other stakeholders.*Manage Technical Accounting teams of 50 FTE with strong focus on team management, functional transformation and drive multiple organizational objectives in areas of global process standards deployment, business process transitions and special projects during M&A transactions* Directs and leads process managers across general accounting, Intercompany, Banking Payments and Accounts payable domains.* Strategic partnering with 3rd party service providers and Internal Honeywell Teams to ensure effective day to day operations and maintain accuracy and timeliness of service delivery. Managing a team of around 150 FTE in the BPO and the single point of contact for all service delivery in the BPO Service Provider. Also responsible for the BCP/ DRP for these activities within the BPO.* Oversee hedging activities for entire EMEA region and ensure appropriate controls are in place to reduce balance sheet and P&L exposures due to fluctuating foreign currencies.* Provide strategic leadership to enhance hedging processing using forecasting models to reduce FX impact due to tangible impact to revenue.* Directly oversee the month end close for 200+ entities and provide guidance to GA manager on key issues during month end, quarter end or yearend close* Ensure that payments to third party vendors is made accurately without any control misses, and provide forum for the Procurement organization to collaborate with Finance Operations to streamline processes.* Manage all intercompany transactions within the strategic business units and/or across them to ensure support for inter company eliminations at a HFM level* Provides guidance to banking operations from bank statement loads to bank clearing to recognize costs within timelines including technology leverage to automate payments and bank clearing via Bank Communication Management (BCM) & Auto avis respectively. Also ensure data privacy & segregation of duties are in place esp. for payroll accounting.* Stakeholder Management includes working along with SBU CFOs for overall financial reporting and process governance, Controllership team on Balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations hygiene, Treasury & banking partner for banking operations as well as fund management, Cash Services team for cash apps and banking operations management, T&E teams for accurate booking for all employee travel expenses, Payroll teams for payroll accounting, Order Management & Payables for intercompany processes, Procurement teams for Accounts payables, Local Government on local reporting requirements, CORP HQ for consolidations, HFM for upstream loads and PWC, HONs external auditors on SOX key control validation and process walk throughTalent Management *Responsible for developing and implementing strategies on Talent Acquisition, Management and Retention of the team*Responsible for the Talent SIOP Process, providing the business forecast / demand, highlighting SIOP risks to business stakeholders, driving staffing team for building resource pipeline, ensuring requisitions are raised based on business demands and leadership approvals are in place.*Acknowledges and utilizes individual and team strengths and addresses issues in an appropriate and consistent manner*Be a champion for team mentality and encourage knowledge sharing to promote employee job rotations and development*Develop a strong talent pool for the organization by engaging employees with providing helpful coaching and challenging roles or assignments*Fosters a sense of energy and ownership that supports commitment to the organization; supports empowerment and acknowledges good performance*Lead and support direct reports enabling and motivating them to make high quality decisions and provide effective service to businesses*Oversee the goal setting, sharing of best practices, workload balancing, teambuilding, professional development, and general operating parameters of the Global Finance Center *Provide strategic leadership to create and execute a clear strategy for governing all general accounting, intercompany, banking operations, disbursements and Accounts Payable processes including systems, applications, bolt-ons and any element that forms part of service delivery.*Lead establishment of strong monitoring procedures and controls established for operational delivery to prevent and detect fraud. Ensure that Honeywell controls are not compromised* Provide advice to senior management, staff across other departments in the organization in recommending ways to streamline and standardize operations in an effort to promote continuous improvement activities.* Leadership for the finance transformation from influencing during the discussion phase, design phase, development and deployment phase. The Finance process transformation improvement, standardization and simplification of financial processes towards the development of best in class end-to-end financial processes. Key levers are standardization, consolidation, automation, and process improvements to drive strengthened internal controls, customer service, cost and productivity improvement.* Leverages technology & has a good systems understanding e.g. SAP, bolt ons, workflows and core Honeywell applications that enables discussions with IT partners on deploying efficient processes in agreement with the auditors & global process owners for process efficiency and accuracy. *Provide overall Change Management Leadership, working with the Leadership team, and HR to achieve effective change thus ensuring success of the Transformation projects*Responsible for maintaining excellent governance via system based or manual controls in discussion with internal controls and other key stakeholders* Lead activities associated with enhancing risk management capabilities by collaborating with IT, Controllership team, Internal audit & external auditors. Benchmark global practices and determine options to successfully cater to the ever-growing controls environment with the goal to deliver financials without any misstatement.* Ensure resources, capabilities and capacity to meet both existing and new business demand* Responsible for the SAP Non CPS Entity Transition to GFC and managing the service Delivery both within Captive and in the 3rd party service provider- Includes Elster, HIS, Intermec & Vocollect *Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of for Finance Ops work related to R2R & Accounts payable being transitioned into the Global Finance Center and will be instrumental in the successful design, implementation, transition and sustainability of the future finance operating model
