JOB ROLE DESCRIPTION -Designation Assistant Manager Finance & AccountsDivision / Location Corporate Office (Mumbai)Reporting to Deputy General Manager Finance & AccountsDesignation and Number of People Reporting to your PositionPurpose of the PositionTo co-ordinate with bankers and Regional team for smooth Channel Financing limit sanctions and enhancements, to liaise for Dun & Bradstreet reports for support in due diligence and in proposing credit terms for new and existing customers, and to support banking and treasury functionMajor Areas of Responsibility of this positionTo review Automotive & Industrial Distributor Outstanding Trend for Company Credit allowed instead of Channel Financing Credit, analyzing Cash-Credit Sale Ratio, Cheque Bouncing, Cheque Rescheduling, Average monthly sales & collections, Targets signed and proposed Business Plans, and guide Regional team on Channel Financing utilisationTo provide comfort letter to Bank for timely Channel Financing limit sanctions or enhancements, after requisite approvalTo daily monitor the Channel Financing outstanding invoices raised by the company, and play a vital role in the cash flow of the organization, by timely withdrawalTo analyze SAP reports and pro-actively identify problem areas for delayed Channel Financing withdrawalsTo ensure problem resolution by serving as an effective bridge between the Bank and the Regional credit control team by assisting in trouble-shooting of Channel Financing errors in upload and support to expedite collection efforts in case of overdue invoicesTo ensure refund of due Earnest Money Deposits and Bank GuaranteesTo obtain Dun & Bradstreet reports, and provide timely insights highlighting potential bad or doubtful debts, by identifying changes in payment patterns of existing customers with proposed action to avert indebtedness, and by highlighting risky business with proposed Customers prior to customer code creationTo study the payment pattern of regular customers for the last 3 years and make a trend analysisBanking profileOpening of Import Letter of Credit (LC)& Buyer credit related documentation (&maintenance related MIS etc.)Opening of domestic Bank Guarantees (BG) (&maintenance of related MIS etc.)Daily routine banking operation including daily bank transfers to Factory and Marketing regions as per their requirements. Including investments in Fixed Deposit/Margin Money deposit etc.Investments in Mutual fund, Inter Corporate Deposit and other current investments (temporary parking of funds as per mandate).Foreign Remittances & related compliance & updation of related MIS (Compliance with requirement such as From 15 CA/15 CB).Compilation of various bank submissions such as monthly Stock Statement/DP statement/FFR etc. (& other loan covenants related requirements/compilations as per banking regulations). Compilation of Bill of entry details and its filing with the Banks-(from time to time)To assist SAP entries related to treasury and banking (in SAP-ECC.6, FICO Module)Linkages - Within the Organization - Outside the Organization - Regions - Customers - Finance& Accounts - Credit Rating Agency - OAD - Bankers - Legal Skills and Competencies required - Education - C. A.(minimum)- Experience - Previous experience in similar role (minimum 1 2years)- Knowledge - Accounting Standards & Policies - Sound SAP and Ms-Office knowledge (FICO working knowledge)/Sound working knowledge of MS office (EXCEL/WORD/PPT) - Industry Practices - Skills Confident personality for dealing with Business Managers / Customers at all levels of management hierarchy or walks of lifeGood understanding of balance sheet and profit & loss statement analysis, credit risk, financial exposure, for aiding in the setting of credit limits and credit period.A self-starter, who is pro-active and driven by resultsPolite but firm and tenacious communications skillsAbility to manage and prioritise an extensive caseload, coupled with foresight to recognize potential risks to the Company
Degree: CA (Chartered Accountant)
