Responsibilities IncludeA Vice President within FMA will work in a team environment to develop and implement solutions that address ourclients business needs. Our client base includes some of the largest, most sophisticated financial institutions inthe world, as well as government institutions across the globe, providing our Vice Presidents with diverse andchallenging work experiences. The Vice President role will provide significant opportunities for the successfulcandidates to exhibit both their quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities across multiple asset classes, aswell as balance sheet and risk related topics. The focus is a global role and will span across the group s key fivepractice areasStrategic ConsultingFinancial InstitutionsOfficial InstitutionsTransaction SupportMarketsThe role will offer material opportunities for ownership and responsibility for production of key mandated clientdeliverables as well as participation in the drive to secure new client mandates through the production ofpresentations and other materials. Additionally, the Vice President role will provide the candidate significantopportunities to participate in the growth of BlackRock Solutions business. This role will also provide scope fordeepening experience in directing, mentoring and developing junior team members.Specifically, a newly hired Vice President will be expected toAdvise clients on high-profile mandates in the financial industry with regards to complex balance sheet,risk management and strategic issuesLiaise with the global team and serve as project manager for our client mandates across multiple internalteams and a variety of different work streamsManage teams and direct reports and be accountable for the quality of the project work performed bythemSource, train and develop talentServe as a senior team member of our asset class teams or analytics teams on specific mandatesrequiring a quantitative/analytical approachProvide estimates & insights related to the staffing of resources across projectsDesign, review and edit presentations and reports related to the pitching of new business andcommunication and documentation of project resultsSupport quantitative analysis and problem solving for client engagementsEscalate potential issues, as they arise, to senior managementMentor junior team members to facilitate their continuous learning and developmentContribute to the success of the overall team in the One BlackRock modelEnforce BlackRock s fiduciary culture of providing the highest quality service to our clientsConnect and collaborate with other FMA members globally in close partnership to generate top qualitywork product and client deliverablesQualificationsThe ideal candidate will possessOver 10- 12 years of relevant professional experience in consulting, finance, or official institutionsStrong analytical and strategic thinking with dynamic, engaging style, and exceptional written and oralcommunication skillsAn in-depth understanding of the banking sector and knowledge across different asset classes. Mustpossess in-depth knowledge of financial markets, current macro-economic events, and financial products(fixed income, equity, derivatives)Strong ability to interpret & explain complex problems related to Financial Institutions, Banks & Marketsusing financial statements, research publications, market info and other BlackRock proprietary materialStrong ability to understand capital structure, funding profile, asset-specific risks, and performance ofFinancial InstitutionsStrong quantitative skills using Excel, & excellent presentation skills using PowerPointAbility to influence results through others without necessarily having formal authority as well as thecapability to build solid relationships with cross-functional partnersCapability to take an innovative approach to developing solutions; prior strategic and solutions oriented experience desirableProven track record in leading projects and teamsExperience in sourcing, training and developing talentProven track record of success in a fast-paced and goal-oriented environmentCollaborative, partnership-oriented spirit, ensuring overall business successM.B.A. in Finance; or, Bachelors in relevant field (C.F.A or progress towards is desirable)
