The Responsibilities of the General Manager - Sales includeChannel Sales or Channel Management Identify, recruit and on-board new channel partnersEnsure partner compliance with partner agreements, partner profile, and empanelment details.Develop and execute joint business plans with Partner to meet sales goals.Drive Partner tiring, targets, incentives programs and engagement at various levels.Educate partners about product portfolio and services offered.Manage sales and marketing activities for partners to generate leads and revenue.To drive marketing activities such as tradeshows, campaigns and other promotional activities.Evaluate partner sales performance and recommend improvements.Manage sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales and identify new business opportunities.Develop positive working relationship with partners to build business.Work with partners to develop product pricing etc.Attend and address sales and partner conferencesKeep close watch on developments in marketplace and competitor activities.Ensure that information about new products and enhancements are communicated to partners.Address partner related issues, sales conflicts and pricing issues when escalatedInstitutional Sales Develop and implement demand generation activities and generate sustainable new business volumes through institutional salesDevelop and strengthen relations with institutions like hotels, schools, colleges, hospitals etc. and grow the Network with them.Develop Yearly plans and executing within the budgets. Team Management Plan and assign goals and tasks to the sales team.Train, motivate and guide the sales team.Evaluate performance of sales team and provide appropriate feedback.Respond to escalated customer complaints in a timely manner.Planning, Research and Strategy Conduct effective and accurate market research and apply this information to increase market shareDevelop new sales strategies and techniques for business growth and profitability.Understand customer needs and suggest changes in products to meet these needs.Identify potential markets and ensure that strong relationships with existing customers are maintainedProvide excellent services and ensure customer satisfaction to build business.Identify strategies and opportunities to increase revenue.Monitor and analyze marketing and sales reportsEvaluate current sales processes and recommend improvements.Maintain quality of service by establishing and enforcing organization standardsDeploy the Sales resources to ensure best ROI. Desired Candidate ProfileThe candidates should be Engineers and Management graduates in Marketing from Premium Institutes with to 10-15 years of Experience in Consumer Durables, Electronics Home Appliance Products or FMCGExcellent commercial and business experienceAbility to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision makingExcellent people skillsExposure to Organization TransformationProven Experience in handling Sales TeamsGood academic background is a must and will be a distinct advantage.Should be in the age group 35 years to 48 Years.Advance Excel is mandatory.Communication and Analytical skills is a must.EducationUG - B.Tech, EngineeringPG - Management Specialising in Marketing
Degree: MBA/ PGDM
