The business analyst is responsible forthe identification and definition of the business needs of HR-IT stakeholders in the areas of Remuneration, Benefits, Services, Talent, Learning, Strategy and Health; andthe determination of IT solution(s) to meet their business needs or resolve their business problem(s).The business analyst will develop a deep understanding of the business, the processes, the applications, and the information and data and provides business analysis support to delivery vertical teams and consultancy assistance to the Business Interface (BI) to drive value for the business. Organization The Global Functions Delivery Vertical (GF-IT DV) exists to deliver business IT solutions that positively impact the bottom line of the enterprise. We do this with passionate and skilled people delivering to commitments, proud of their achievements and the DV community they are part of.We manage an enterprise wide portfolio for Group Functions Finance, Contracting & Procurement (FIN-IT), Human Resources (HR-IT), Business Administration (BA-IT and IT in Shell that supports IT professionals (IT4IT), with enhancements and continuous improvement to meet changing business needs. This is fundamental in providing high quality, well managed and fit for purpose end-to-end solutions for the businesses. The business analyst Data Management, reports to the Portfolio Lead for Strategy and is part of the HR-IT Competency Centre. The accountability of the Competency Centre Manager includes delivery of IT projects, solutions, enhancements & releases within the scope of HR-IT.Principal Work Accountabilities This role will focus on data quality management across the Global Functions HRIT Portfolio.Responsible for designing, implementing and updating new operational mass data upload solutions (i.e. via SAP LSMW and occasionally by using ABAP) and transferring knowledge to the support organizations.Responsible for approving the design, implementation and pre-deployment review for all projects involving data conversion. In addition to covering data requirements, the design review covers functional requirements to ensure the end to end design is robust and will not cause data quality issues.Ability to handle large amounts of sensitive data uploads in Production and well versed with testing the uploads in non-production systemsActs as a consultant to provide guidance and expertise on the data design and conversion requirements for enhancements and Projects. Also liaises with the business contacts and enhancement/Project BAs to ensure all data cleanse and conversion activities are delivered correctly in production.Acts as the primary focal point/SME to the support organization/Business (Data Management Team DMT), project Data Management Consultants (DMC) HR Data & Analytics, HR Services, P&S and CI Teams on data quality, support issues, project initiatives, functionality, process and control improvements and large scale data migration activities.Responsible for conducting detailed root cause analysis of HR data issues, recommending solutions to correct any corrupt data and prevent reoccurrence via process or configuration changes.Special ChallengesAbility to work in a fast-paced, demanding, rapidly changing environmentAbility to work on multiple projects and enhancements simultaneouslyStrong engagement skills, working with business partners on regular basisNeed for team-working skills in a virtual environment; willingness to travel occasionallyRequirements Job Competences and ExperienceBachelors Degree required in IT major.Minimum three (3) years experience of SAP HR data management- (Strong Knowledge of LSMW upload experience with configuration experience is a must, ability to write/read ABAP/Debug is an advantage)Experience of data modeling tools.Exceptional analytical skills and significant attention to detail and diligenceStrong MS Excel skills and the ability to work with large data sets.Strong problem solving and reconciliation skills.High level of numeracy and the ability to liaise with IT departments and business stakeholders effectively to resolve problems arising with internal processes.Must be proactive to seek out problem resolutions, be energetic, and able to work in a challenging and deadline driven environment.Must be able to interface, communicate and influence at all levels of the organization (Business Stakeholders, Support, Project Teams internal and external to HRIT).Knowledge of SAP HR modules Personnel Administration/Organizational Management/Payroll/Time and the surrounding HR processes is essential.The ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.The ability to lead HR data related initiatives, advising and supporting others on the roles they need to fulfil.
