ResponsibilitiesWork closely with IT Managers and the Business to ensure that new requirements are understood and capturedDrive/participate in requirements gathering workshopsAssess and model business processes, data flows, and technology to understand the current value and issues, and identify opportunities for improvementTranslate business requirements into solutions and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impactsCreate clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution over the project lifecycleEnsure traceability of requirements from business needs and requirements, through testing and scope changes, to final solutionInteract with software engineers, designers and developers to understand software limitations, deliver elements of system and database design, and ensure that business requirements and use cases are fully accommodatedCreate acceptance criteria for test scenarios and participate in the appropriate test cycles in order to validate that solutions meet business needsParticipate in deployment activities such as trainingSpecial Challenges Large portfolio; approximately 80 applications (SERP, tax and travel & expenses) One in seven people in Shell work in Finance; the IT intensity of Finance work is steadily increasingWorking in such a diverse portfolio. There are sixteen Finance Process Areas, each with a Process Executive, Process Owner and supporting Process Area Council. This covers a very broad range of business processes (e.g. Intra-Group Billing, SAP-Real Estate, plant maintenance in the US, tax, asset accounting, travel & expenses etc.) Handling competing and often urgent priorities (especially last minute legal/fiscal requirements) Minimum of four years full project lifecycle experience of SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) and/or Sales & Distribution modulesGood knowledge of several of the following General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Centre and Profit Centre Accounting, credit management, resource related billingGood understanding of the integration points between FICO and MM (RtP), SD, RE, PM, and PSKnowledge and practical experience of working with ECC 6.0 New General LedgerExperience of SAP Financial Closing Cockpit an advantageVery good understanding of financial processes, including period end closingUnderstanding of Indirect Tax tools and integration with core SAPKnowledge of latest ERP trends/developments/productsUnderstanding of IT project management and project delivery methodology, including agileUnderstanding of IT security and complianceUnderstanding of system development lifecycle methodologyExcellent written and spoken English communication skillsOrganized and methodical. Ability to plan and implement according to planAbility to prioritize and multi-taskMinimum Education or Certification 4-year Degree related to IT
