The Delivery Vertical (DV) is an entity in the Global Functions IT organization.Working within the GFIT Finance Delivery VerticalThe Project Management Office (PMO) supports the project teams by enabling project execute better, faster and cheaper by implementing common processes and practices with the appropriate level of flexibility and risk. The PMO support in the DV Capability Centre organisation works closely with the Enterprise PMO office and the GF Financial team to ensure that disciplined project reporting and control.Accountabilities The PMO reports directly to Delivery Capability Centre Manager and is responsible for delivering planning support directly to the DV Projects through the project support team, as well as providing key support directly to stakeholders (IT Managers, Project Managers, Project Support Team, etc.).Key Responsibilities include Responsible for requesting initial financial setup of projects including requesting WBSE codes. Provide guidance on processes & standards to immediate team and to project managers in the DV Finance IT. Setup and maintain the project and reporting structure in project reporting tool which is called Project & Portfolio Management Applications (PPM) Co-ordination of resource planning in relation to project support resources within the DV to support the project portfolio. Project Financial management including requesting WBSE codes, track overall project spend and consolidating accruals, compiling latest estimates and solving finance issues for projects Producing executive level reports and presentations on health of project delivery and the financial status of portfolios within the DV. Ensuring that all members in the DV team are able to time write and that the timewriting is being completed as required. Where necessary, working with Team members to ensure errors are corrected Work with Project Managers and project teams as required, to provide project management consultancy including Shell methodology guidelines (Project Delivery Framework), project planning and dashboard reporting and helping to ensure that it is applied in a way which bring value. Ensure projects comply with PDF and IRM controls standard. Provide guidance on processes & standards to project team and project managers in the DV. Supporting Processes and Guidelines in the DV across a broad range of projects varying in , complexity, and technology. Anticipation of issues across the Finance portfolio in project discipline and the ability to provide and implement simple solutions and communication to remedy the issues. Virtual working in a global work environment , Project teams are globally dispersed which bring challenges in working across time zone and geographical boundaries and organizational boundaries. Ensuring the requirements of the Shell enterprise as a whole are appropriately considered It is important that program / project team members can work autonomously and be self-starters Ability to establish strong working relationships across organisational and geographical boundaries. RequirementsExperience and Qualifications requiredWe are looking for a candidate with broad PMO project management office lead skills, who have the ability to pick up new skills and technologies. Applicants must have experience of atleast 5+ years of experience in roles where they held similar accountabilities to those listed above. Experience working with Project/Program work stream leads assists in their planning for large project implementations. Experience PMO Understands points of integration on large projects. Experience working with large delivery experience as PMO Lead. Experience in Project Management Office (PMO) activities as PMO Manager Experience in planning projects using MS Project IT Project Management Qualification preferred Experience of implementation of project management methodologies Experience in the development and implementation of a project controls framework would be advantageous. Experience in project cost management in complex projects. Ability to establish strong working relationships across organisational and geographical boundaries. Excellent interpersonal skills, and extensive experience with stakeholder management/change management Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
