The Test Engineer for Shell Legal & Corporate IT is responsible for planning and executing the testing for one of the world s leading corporate web sites, it involves global scope and exposure to leading edge web technologies.The Test Engineer role sits in the Corporate Communications IT function, within the Global Functions IT department. The One Shell team are a globally dispersed Agile/DevOps team consisting of a product owner, project manager, business analyst, developers, testers and a strong support team. We have frequent engagements with third party vendors for support, design, development and security specialists.The Test Engineer will work as part of the One Shell team to prepare, test and deploy incremental changes, fixes and new releases according to the Product backlog that is agreed with the Product Owner. In addition, the Test Engineer will implement test automation tooling and suggest/implement DevOps process/automation improvements. The AEM Testers are responsible for the design, specification, execution and reporting of all software testing strategies, plans, scripts and processes to support web site development and release management for delivery of the global One Shell corporate web site.2. This is fundamental in providing high quality, well managed and fit for purpose end-to-end solutions for the businesses.The Testing Engineer Adobe Experience Manger will work in the LC-IT Delivery Vertical and report to the Competency Manager Communications. The accountability of the Competency Centre Manager includes delivery of IT projects, solutions, enhancements & releases within the scope of External Relations and Internal Communications.5. Principal Work Accountabilities Plan and undertake end-to-end test activities such as test planning, test effort estimation, test script development, test execution, defects management & periodic status reportingWork collaboratively in an agile environment, assessing test requirements based on product backlog. Build up knowledge in Adobe AEM/ content management system in order to prepare and execute end-to-end integrated tests Work with the Product Owner, Scrum Master and DevOps team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.Have a broad understanding of content management business processes; not only in respective functional areas but also integration points. Work with testing tools such QTP/UFT, FitNesse , HP ALM , & Worksoft CertifyEnsure test documentation is kept up-to-date in available tooling Participate in improvement initiatives driving functional excellence in all areas of testing.Work with the Product Owner to demonstrate test results/working product and agree on deploymentFacilitate User Acceptance testing for larger initiatives Potential to in the longer term to take over development and support activities through job rotation in the DevOps team;6. Requirements1.Job Competences and Experience3 Years or more of working experience, with at least 3 years in all aspects of software testing including manual, automated, system, integration, regression and exploratory testing.Test Management and/or software testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB Advanced or Expert level) and Structured Testing approach (e.g. Tmap NEXT, ISTQB, IEEE, TMII)Strong knowledge and experience in Agile Methodologies / DevOpsStrong knowledge and experience in using QTP/UFT , FitNesse and Worksoft CertifyExperience in testing Adobe Engagement Manager platform/ Content Management System is preferredProficient in fault finding and defect managementStrong coordination, presentation and communication skillsSelf-starters, able to work independently, display initiative, keen to take responsibility and learn quickly on the jobAble to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities and deadlinesAble to demonstrate strong analytical skills with experience of complex problem solving;Excellent team players with strong customer focus.Should have experience translating use case / process requirements into test specification and proceduresAble to work with developers, or has developer experience, to ensure integrated development and test planning
